Hannah is on her gap year, travelling Europe solo after graduating from high school. She is an optimistic, free-spirited young woman, however a little naïve and scatterbrained. She finds herself stranded at a train depot after having fallen asleep on the train. There are no more departures until the morning and the depot is miles from anywhere.

She is now stranded at night in a foreign country with little money and no trains scheduled until the morning. There is nothing other than the train depot in the area. The closest town is several kilometres away.

“Shit!” Hannah cursed under her breath. She scanned the departures board again, tracing her way down the schedule with her finger. “Shit, shit, SHIT!” She repeats as her desperation grows. She knew she should have put an alarm on her phone or asked a fellow passenger to wake her. She wasn’t even sure where she was now, all she knew is that she had slept two hours past her scheduled arrival time. She could be anywhere by now. The timetable was in German, but that could be anywhere covering an area larger than California. Normally a cheerful, optimistic girl, panic was slowly starting to set in as she found herself lost, stranded, with limited funds in a country where she didn’t speak the language, at night and in what seemed to be a purely industrial area.
