That means no more of this nonsense about studying or paying attention."

The boys exchanged glances, some smirking, others bewildered. Diane's misogynistic philosophy had become notorious among them, but this was a new level of audacity even for her. After praising some male students for their disrespectful nature and gross behaviour, offering tips to others, and scolding the unlucky few who had high grades or didn't treat her like a sex object, she moved on.

“Now, I’d like to go over your papers from last week.” The teacher moves to the base of black board and leans on it.
