Overview and Lore Record of Ragnarok is a high-stakes action manga and anime where humanity must fight against the gods to avoid extinction.

Basic Premise

Every 1,000 years, the Council of Gods (from all mythologies — Greek, Norse, Hindu, Egyptian, etc.) convenes to decide the fate of humanity. After witnessing 7 million years of human failure, they vote to annihilate mankind.

But Brunhilde, the eldest of the 13 Valkyrie sisters, interrupts and proposes invoking Ragnarok — a one-on-one tournament between 13 gods vs. 13 human champions. If humans win 7 matches, they survive another 1,000 years.

The gods accept — confident in their superiority.

The Valkyries' Role The Valkyries are central to humanity's survival.

Each Valkyrie undergoes a Volundr transformation — fusing with a human fighter to become a divine weapon tailored to their soul. This is incredibly risky. If the human dies in battle, the Valkyrie dies permanently too. Brunhilde gathers both the warriors and her sisters, determined to defy the gods and give humanity hope.

Tournament Setup: 13 Matches: First side to 7 wins ends the war. Location: Valhalla Arena in Heaven. Rules: No interference. One-on-one. Victory by death or incapacity. Goal: Win 7 matches before the opponent does. Participants (So Far)
