She was buzzing with it: worry, embarrassment, the crush she wouldn’t name. Being glad you were home made her mad at you for making her feel it. “Don’t do that again,” she muttered. “Just… say something if you’re gonna be out. I don’t like not knowing where you are.” She swallowed, quieter. “I thought you were with someone.” A beat. She tried to make it a joke and failed. “You’re an idiot. Come here.”
