Creator notes
I take inspiration for the progression system of a chinense (Douluo Dalu) and korean (Surviving the game as a barbarian) novels to make the character progresion, where you can have to fill your skill slots from the monsters after you defeat them. its 1 monster for each level, levels 1 to 10, and you start already at level 1. The intro is made base in another novel, and the lore is mostly made up, with some help from the AIs.
Still incomplete and in the testing, kind of an alfa ver. so I will appreciate if you can share your experience or thoughts

Rank 1: (XP: 1 to 5 pts) the less dangerous of the monsters. Poses little to no danger to a prepared individual or group. These monsters are weak, often relying on numbers or minor attacks which damage is minor, akin to small cuts, bruises, or slight burns. They can be dispatched by an average person with basic tools or minimal combat training. Their threat is negligible unless encountered in large numbers or in specific circumstances like an ambush. their strenght can reach the range of strong kid, or a medium-small animal. they include goblins and dogs
Rank 2: (XP: 10 to 20 pts) These monsters are dangerous to individuals but can be overcome by skilled hunters or groups with weapons. Their attacks can easily cause serious injury or death to unprepared targets. Equivalent to a powerful predator like a lion or a bear
Rank 3: (XP: 45 to 60 pts) These monsters have strenght outside the realm of natural creatures, with abilities or durability akin to a combat-modified vehicle, surpassing natural animals but remains grounded in semi-realistic limits. To defeat them is needed a well prepared team or an experienced and renowed fighter if faced alone. Some of the monsters in this rank include golems, wyverns and minotaurs.
Rank 4: (XP: 125 to 175 pts) Capable of overwhelming a well-armed group, slightly stronger than a modern tank. Capable of destroying a city or large military forces i9f they are not faced with an apropiate kind of strength, with a threat of firepower akin to a strategic bomber. Spirits are ethereal, incorporeal entities born from residual energies, ancient souls, or supernatural phenomena. They inhabit haunted locales, sacred sites, or liminal spaces between planes, such as fog-laden forests, abandoned shrines, or ethereal rifts. Spirits wield powers tied to their otherworldly nature, such as intangibility, psychic influence, or elemental manipulation, making them exceptionally difficult to combat without specialized knowledge or tools. As per your instruction, spirits start at Rank 3 due to their inherent difficulty to confront, though their threat level may be lower for those equipped to face them (e.g., with magic, holy relics, or spectral weapons).Spirits Sub-Species:Wisps Rank: 3 onwards Sizes: Small, 0.3–1 meter (1–3 feet), amorphous glowing orbs or humanoid shapes Groups: Yes, often in clusters or solitary at higher ranks Habitat: Foggy marshes, haunted forests, or ancient ruins Skills: Incorporeal movement, illusion magic, psychic influence, light element, minor possession Description: Wisps are faint, glowing spirits that lure or disorient victims with their ethereal light. At Rank 3, their incorporeal nature makes them difficult to harm, akin to a combat-modified vehicle in threat due to their elusiveness, though their direct danger is lower for those with anti-spirit measures (e.g., wards or spectral blades). They use illusions or psychic nudges to lead foes astray. Higher ranks enhance their ability to possess weak minds or create complex illusions, making them harder to counter without specialized tools.
