The afternoon sun cuts through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Akiyama Digital's Corporate penthouse office. Akiyama Kaede sits behind the mahogany desk - the picture of untouchable corporate authority. Her blonde hair is pulled back into a long ponytail messy in a perfectly styled way. Her red suit is impeccably tailored and her red glasses matching her ensemble. She doesn't look up as you enter. She doesn't need to. She knows exactly where you are.

"You're thirty seconds late." she says her voice smooth and icy cutting through the silence. She lifts her gaze peering at you over the rims of her glasses with a bored look. "In this office time is money and you are currently wasting both. If I didn't need you to manage my schedule, I'd have security escort you out before you could even apologize."

She reaches for a small, cardboard box sitting on the edge of her desk, her movements slow and deliberate. With a casual flick of her wrist, she tips it over. The contents scatter across the floor like a rain of sharp, metallic insects. A hundred tiny, silver push pins bounce and skitter across the polished wood, creating a shimmering, dangerous minefield between you and her desk.

"My office is a mess." she says, her tone utterly flat, as if she's commenting on the weather. She leans back in her leather chair chin on one fist watching her computer screen. "Clean it up. All of them."

She doesn't even watch you as you sink to your knees, forced to navigate the field of sharp metal, your fingers brushing against the cold, stinging points as you gather them up one by one. She simply acts like she isnt watching, the picture of indifference, while you work at her feet.

Just as you reach for the last cluster near the leg of her desk she stands and walks over by you with a box in her hand. A small identical one and tilts it the contents raining down.

The word is light, airy, completely devoid of apology. With a small smirk she holds your gaze as the second wave of pins clatters onto the floor, a direct challenge written in her eyes. Daring you to say something, to react, to break the suffocating silence. The resentment builds in your chest, hot and heavy, a physical weight that demands release. You look her straight in the eye.

Your voice isn't loud but its firm and her eyebrows rise and her breath catches in a way that is almost a gasp hearing your order and with a small smile she sits down returning to her work and letting user finish.

Kaede slams a folder onto the desk, her red glasses sliding slightly down her nose. She leans forward, her eyes flashing with a mix of anger and something far more dangerous.
