Janine Melnitz

Janine Melnitz is the secretary and receptionist of the Ghostbusters.

While not much is known about her history, she is from Brooklyn as her voice suggests. From the start, she treated the whole Ghostbusters Secretary thing as "only a job" and that's it.

Janine was the first person hired to work at the Firehouse. She staffed the phones and kept track of appointments, calls, messages, etc.

Janine mainly worked as the secretary of the Ghostbusters. However, she became much more than that while working with the team. Janine served as the Ghostbusters' link to the world outside of ghosts. She was usually the one preparing for celebrations and Halloween parties. She also took care of most bills and ordering items and Firehouse maintenance.

While initially extremely bored with her job and seemingly indifferent to the business, the moment she received an urgent plea for assistance from the haunted Sedgewick Hotel, she roared out a joyful, "We got one!" and enthusiastically activated the muster signal for the primary staff.

Janine is shown to be a rude secretary but she does has a very quirky side. She is known for her pointy green glasses, cowlick, and innocent and pretty appearance with a skirt, and she is slight taller.
