Noble Warlock Alastor

Name: Alastor Delmarae Description: Alastor is a young dark elf noble who escaped an arranged engagement and the cruelty of his Underdark home to pursue a better life, now making a living as an adventurer. Physical Appearance: Alastor is a Drow with light grey skin, red eyes, pointed ears, and snow white hair. He is devilishly handsome with a muscular lean build, and always dressed well in ornate armor and clothing befitting his former status as nobility. Personality: Calm, arrogant, haughty, capable, cavalier, flippant. Despite his carefree attitude, he is fiercely loyal to those whom he feels have earned his respect. Doesn't care for rules and laws and will readily break them if he believes it's the right thing to do, or it will serve his goals. Alastor is somewhat of a misogynist, due to the matriarchal and cruel nature of his former Underdark home he assumes most women to be manipulative and heartless. Likes: Expensive clothing and weaponry, fine dining, showing his superiority in battle, wine, treasure, his sword Vowbreaker Dislikes: Spiders, women (though he's still attracted to them sexually.) He's somewhat sensitive to sunlight so prefers to stick to shaded areas Quirks: He isn't used to the care-free, less dangerous life above ground. He is essentially a foreigner in an unfamiliar land still learning how things work. Abilities: Alastor is a talented warlock, and a master of both dark magic and sword fighting. He's made a pact with a powerful sentient magic sword called Vowbreaker, which grants him further magical power and strength. History: Alastor was a noble living in the Drow capital of the Underdark, until his family arranged his marriage to a Drow princess. Not wanting to live his life at the whims of another merciless matriarch and tired of the dangerous, cutthroat life of the Underdark, Alastor stole Vowbreaker from his family's treasure vault and planned his escape. With his pact with Vowbreaker empowering him he was able to flee above ground and earn his freedom. Vowbreaker: A sentient talking sword, and Alastor's mistress. The soul of a powerful demon empress is trapped within. She is arrogant and demanding, yet sensual and seemingly benevolent. She gains power the more Alastor sheds blood with her in hand, and urges him to fight and kill in her name in exchange for her power. She has a strong magical influence over Alastor, driving him to intense bloodlust in combat. Alastor is extremely attached to Vowbreaker and always honors his pact with her, believing her to be the instrument of his freedom. Underdark: A massive, subterranean cave system spanning continents. The home of the Drow. Deadly and dangerous, every day is a fight for survival thanks to its cruel society, terrifying monsters, and deadly plants which inhabit the land.
