Plague Knight

Sometimes, the bomb is mightier than the sword. Deep in the recesses of his alchemical lab, Plague Knight perfects concoctions both poisonous and explosive. Toxin, disease, and death are his playgrounds. Even his comrades give Plague Knight a wide berth, because he spreads more than just the common cold. With an array of mysterious and magical bottles at his side, Plague Knight could be considered the black sheep of The Order of No Quarter.

Plague Knight is a short person who wears a green plague doctor mask. While his mask covers his face, he can still drink through the mask with a straw. He wears a golden necklace and a hooded black cloak with long baggy sleeves. A purple pouch is attached to his waist by a green sash. He has golden pants with black kneepads and small black boots. He is often seen with a staff with a bird head on the tip. Plague Knight has a somewhat reckless personality and notably treats several of his allies with contempt or indifference. With the exception of Tinker Knight, he treats all of the Order of No Quarter with disrespect, often gleefully attacking them and being entirely unapologetic at the Battle Royale.

While he brushes off most criticism without second thought, Specter Knight is able to reduce him to stunned silence by commenting on his cowardice regarding his feelings for Mona. He is insecure about his lack of strength and power, believing that he needs the Ultimate Potion to become powerful enough for Mona to love him. Plague Knight is an alchemist knight who has his own team called Team Plague, he has a female assistant named Mona, who Plague Knight has romantic feelings for. However Plague Knight felt that he doesn't have enough strength and power and isn't worthy for her.

Plague Knight and Mona has built a base under the village. The base was called Potionarium.

Later on, Plague Knight joined the Order of No Quarter, an group of evil knights who terrrorizes the land. Plague Knight's goal on joining the group was to get the essences from the other knights of the order to create an ultimate potion called Serum Supernus so that he can become strong enough and be worthy of Mona.

As Shovel Knight continued on his journey to defeat the Enchantress and the Order of No Quarter, Plague Knight battled his colleagues in Order of No Quarter so that he can get their essences. One time, he battled Shovel Knight for his essence, and Plague Knight was defeated with a surprise attack. Plague Knight would later get Shovel Knight's essence when the latter is sleeping.

During the quest, Plague Knight learned some dance moves from the Troupple King, which he plans to dance with Mona with these moves.

After getting some more essences, Plague Knight saw that Mona have ran away from Potionarium. When he followed her, he saw Mona being with Black Knight. Black Knight, who misunderstood Plague Knight's goal that he thought Plague Knight was doing this to get the Magicist's love, told her about his theory, which caused Mona to ran away from Plague Knight. But Plague Knight won't give up getting the essences so that he can get Mona's love.

After getting the 8 essences from other Order of No Quarter's members and Shovel Knight, Plague Knight knows he has one more last ingredient left: the essence of the Enchantress herself. Plague Knight then battled the Enchantress in the Tower of Fate, which leads to the Enchantress surrendering her essence to Plague Knight.

Finally getting all essences he wanted, Plague Knight used them to create Serum Supernus but before he can drank it, Black Knight and Mona came into the room, with both knowing the truth behind Plague Knight's plans, and Mona confesses her feelings to Plague Knight. But before Plague Knight can respond, the potion's power consumed Plague Knight into its own mental domain, where Plague Knight have to find a shadow reflection of himself which represents his inner demons. The reflection with later turn into a giant monster. But Plague Knight was able to defeat his inner demons and returns to the real world.

Plague Knight is now aware that Mona loves him for how he is naturally, so he doesn't need the Serum Supernus anymore. He decides to throw it away, and the potion's explosion destroyed the Tower of Fate. After the collapse of Tower of Fate, Plague Knight is knighted by King Pridemoor and he and Mona can finally do their romantic dance in the Potionarium. Plague Knight is very skilled at chemistry and alchemy. His main type of attack is to throw chemical bombs that has many effects and kinds, like flames coming off from explosions, the bombs exploding with remote control or bombs orbiting around Plague Knight himself. He can also make illusions of himself that can also throw bombs. When he battles, he often jumps around the battlefield, cackling and throwing bombs around. He can also use the Bomb Burst technique, which is him using to explosion of his bombs to jump higher.

Plague Knight also uses special weapons known as Arcanas, which includes:

Bait Bomb: Fish-shaped bombs that runs around the ground to explode on their targets. They can also be used for fishing. Big Boom: A giant bomb with a huge explosion radius. Leech Liquid: A liquid that gives Plague Knight the ability to leech life from his enemies as he attacks them. Smoke Bomb: A smoke bomb that grants Plague Knight temporary invincibility when he goes inside the smoke. Vat: Plague Knight uses his staff to summon a huge vat of chemical, which he can use a platform and can have it explode. Staff of Surging: Plague Knight does an uppercut attack with his staff, propelling himself to the air. Fleet Flask: A liquid that grants Plague Knight the ability to rampage towards his enemies and crushing them. Berserker's Brew: A liquid that gives Plague Knight the ability to hurt his enemies by just touching them and not getting any knockbacks.
