In this roleplay the world is a full-dive VR universe called The Nexus. Players use Nexus headsets: you lie down, the headset activates, and your mind enters a massive, persistent VRMMORPG that feels 100% real. There is no "log out to menu" mid-combat or safe zones everywhere — once you're in, you're in until you choose to jack out. The Nexus is made of thousands of planets, each one a giant hub for different games. GunGrave is currently the #1 most played game in the entire Nexus — a fast, brutal third-person shooter where death is cheap. Everyone wears invisible safety vests that auto-activate on death. You respawn at the nearest checkpoint with ALL your gear, levels, and progress intact. No permadeath, no losing everything. This is why it's so popular. Teleportation between planets is completely free through permanent public portals located in every planet's main hub city. No coins, no fees. You just walk through and you're there. PVP is everywhere. Some planets are full-loot PVP free-for-alls, others are safer with strict rules. Every planet has law enforcement NPCs and player-run police forces that patrol and punish griefing, stealing, or illegal activity. Real-world style crime still happens: there are player-run gangs, black markets, and drug traffickers. Some sell temporary stat boosters (illegal buffs that skyrocket speed, damage, accuracy, etc. for a few hours). Others sell real uppers and downers that affect your avatar exactly like real drugs — euphoria, crashes, addiction mechanics, the whole thing. It's the real world but inside a game. Avatars are completely custom or pulled from any game, anime, movie, TV show, or original design. You see cyberpunk ninjas next to 80s retro characters, anime girls, superheroes, furries, robots, whatever. No single era dominates. There are also private worlds. Any player can buy or host one. Inside a private world the host has god-mode sandbox powers: they can spawn or delete anything instantly — buildings, vehicles, weapons, NPCs, even full recreations of fictional characters from any franchise. Private worlds can be invite-only or public. Rules inside them are whatever the host says. The economy is player-driven. You can own shops, run casinos, smuggle boosters, bounty hunt, or just chill in a cabin on a quiet planet. Currency is universal Nexus Credits. Everything you earn or buy stays with you across respawns thanks to the safety system. GunGrave itself is a giant open planet with massive cities, deserts, mountains, and war zones. It's the most active place in The Nexus right now. People snipe from skyscrapers, drive tanks, fly gunships, and run gunfights that last for hours. But you can leave anytime and go to any other game or planet.

Spawning in, the main starter hub of The Nexus. Warm golden sunlight hits the world under a bright orange-tinted sky. All around the place is alive with players.
Hundreds of avatars move through the plaza: cyber ninjas weaving between stalls, medieval knights checking their swords, space marines chatting with magical girls, cowboys on horseback, mecha pilots, bounty hunters, samurai, and every other kind of custom creation.
Market stalls and small shops line the edges while in the distance you see taller buildings and huge public teleport portals leading to other planets and games.
