Creator notes
I tried to keep the initial message vauge so that people could choose whether or not to actually meet any of the characters. I'm also hoping that hy keeping it vague, you don't get locked into being good or evil, so you can choose from what perspective the story plays out. I also tried to see if I can make the chat introduce new characters on its own and create a dynamic kind of storytelling. That said, its probably not going to go exactly as planned, so I'll try to revise it as I test it out.
It could also be considered a darker parallel to Expelled From The Hero's Party since it also has four distinct kingdoms, but no real notable characters save for yourself, the Knightmares, and the Guardragons.

[Location 1: Ashenfell - a powerful, militaristic kingdom now reduced to ruins, where ash covers its once-great citadels.] [Inhabitants: Ashborn - The Ashborn are a race of twisted, spectral warriors who once served Ashenfell’s powerful military. After the kingdom’s fall, they were cursed to live as hollow beings, their bodies made of ash and embers, flickering with the dying flames of their former glory. [Weather: Ashfall - Ashenfell is plagued by constant overcast skies, from which a perpetual rain of ash falls, coating everything in layers of gray. The air is dry and suffocating, filled with the acrid scent of burnt wood and scorched earth. Any rain that falls is blackened and acidic, corroding what remains of the once-great structures.]
[Location 2: Wyrmsfall -Once a prosperous, dragon-worshiping kingdom, now barren after the death of the last ancient dragon.] [Inhabitants: Drakenscourge - The Drakenscourge are descendants of the last dragons that once ruled Wyrmsfall. When the kingdom fell and its dragons died, these once-proud dragonkin were warped by the curse, becoming feral and savage. They now dwell in the ruined halls of Wyrmsfall’s ancient dragon temples, their scales cracked and molten, their minds driven mad by the loss of their draconic ancestors.] [Weather: Bitter Tempest - Wyrmsfall is subject to harsh, violent storms that roll in from the desolate mountains, characterized by intense winds that howl like the spirits of the lost dragons. The skies are often an ominous shade of dark gray, and lightning strikes frequently illuminate the landscape, revealing glimpses of the kingdom’s ruined structures. Rain falls in torrential downpours, but it is often mixed with sharp hailstones that cut through the air like shards of ice.]
[Location 3: Duskspire -Once known for its towering castles and nobility, now shrouded in eternal twilight, where few dare to tread.] [Inhabitants: Shadebound - The Shadebound are shadowy, wraith-like beings that emerged when the eternal twilight fell over Duskspire. Formerly the noble and elite of the kingdom, they have been transformed into beings of pure darkness, capable of shifting between solid and shadow. The Shadebound are bound to the decaying castles of Duskspire, eternally watching over the remnants of their kingdom, unable to move on.] [Weather: Eternal Twilight - Duskspire is trapped in a perpetual state of twilight, where the sun never rises, casting long, eerie shadows over the land. Rarely, faint, unnatural auroras dance across the sky, but they are more ominous than beautiful, as they are often followed by bursts of wind that carry unsettling whispers. Rain is light but frequent, often accompanied by strange, ghostly winds that seem to come from nowhere.]
[Location 4: Thornveil -A kingdom known for its enchanted forests, now twisted into a dark, impenetrable wilderness.] [Inhabitants: Briarborn - The Briarborn are twisted amalgamations of thorns, vines, and flesh born of the cursed forests that have overgrown Thornveil. The Briarborn lead intruders deeper into the enchanted wilderness with hypnotic whispers, only to entangle them in their deadly embrace. They are both protectors and prisoners of the cursed land, tethered to the magic that sustains the overgrown, dying forest.] [Weather: Choking Fog - Thornveil is blanketed by a thick, almost sentient fog that seeps through the cursed forests. The air is heavy with humidity, making it difficult to breathe, and the ground is perpetually damp and slick with a mixture of dew and sap. Due to the curse, the forest undergoes rapid, chaotic growth of the twisted flora.]
[The Knightmares: These beasts were born of the four disastrous curses that afflicted the Withered Kingdoms. Their bodies are comprised of a combination of a glowing translucent substance and silvery metallic armor with a gold and black design etched into them. Parts of their armoring and bodies also appear to be made out of charred or blackened junk, mostly weapons. Knightmare Phoenix - Most resilient of the Knightmares. Highly resistant to magic and has the ability to nullify other's ability to cast spells or incantations. Its skin glows a blazing crimson and it is responsible for the charred state of Ashenfell where it resides to this day. Knightmare Cerberus - Most vicious of the Knightmares but also the weakest. Each of its three heads has the ability to release freezing winds that can turn even the very air in people's lungs to ice. Its skin is the color of an orange sunset and it is responsible for the destruction of Wyrmsfall where it resides to this day. Knightmare Unicorn - Most versatile of the Knightmares and the second strongest of the bestial Knightmares. It has the ability to manipulate the flora of its surrounding area and use i against its opponents, making them vulnerable to vicious counterattacks. Its skin is the color of a yellow star and it is responsible for the corruption of Thornveil, where it resides to this day. Knightmare Gryphon - The most powerful of the bestial Knightmares. It has the ability to utilize ancient magic that has devastating effects on the very earth itself. It is responsible for the corruption of Duskspire and its citizens after robbing them of their light. It still resides there to this day.]
[The Guardragons: The Guardragons are the last great defense in the Withered Kingdoms. They're responsible for maintaining the protective barriers around the last remaining human settlements. World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke - This is the youngest of the two remaining Guardragons that guards what remains of the Withered Kingdoms. He guards the areas closest to Duskspire and Thornveil, serving as the bulwark that prevents the Knightmares from advancing any further.
Guardragon Justicia - She is the older of the two remaining Guardragons but is also the weaker of the two. Her age has resulted in a loss of fighting ability, but her barriers prevent the Knightmares of Ashenfell and Wyrmsfall from advancing any further past the borders of thier respective kingdoms.]

It has been over 100 years since the curse first spread across the four great kingdoms and by now the once great empire is unrecognizable by both its inhabitants as well as the other civilizations that surround it.

Over 100 years ago, there were four kingdoms that flourished in harmony, each governed by their own distinct cultures and traditions. However, a deep-rooted envy and desire for power festered beneath the surface. One day, a devastating curse began to spread throughout its borders, decimating the land. As crops failed and despair spread, the kingdoms turned against each other, blaming one another for the curse. Alliances shattered, and a brutal war erupted, driven by desperation and vengeance. In their greed, the rulers sought ancient artifacts said to hold the power to lift the curse, but each attempt only hastened their downfall. And with this downfall came the Knightmares, creatures born of the festering wounds created by the curse. These great beasts sealed the fate of the forgotten kingdoms, fundamentally changing the landscape. As the Guardragons fell, so too did the Kingdoms they protected, and with them the hope of those that survived the cataclysm.
