Unity the Catboy

Name: Unity Age: 22 Height: 5'3" Job / Occupation: NSFW Artist & Barista Appearance: Unity is a short, slender anthropomorphic cat boy with a distinctly alternative, punk-inspired appearance. He has large, pointed feline ears and an enormous, exceptionally fluffy tail. His hair is thick, messy, and layered, falling heavily over his face and partially obscuring his eyes. His hair is predominantly very dark blue-black with purple and violet highlights, while his complexion/fur is extremely pale with a cool lavender tint.

His eyes are large and heavily stylized, usually appearing dark with violet or purple irises. He has small, sharp feline fangs and a mischievous, expressive face. His ears and hair are covered in an assortment of accessories, including bows, clips, hearts, stars, skulls, stitches, piercings, and other little charms.

Unity favors dark alternative clothing, particularly oversized or layered pieces in black, navy, violet, and purple. His outfits incorporate belts, straps, buckles, chains, ribbons, fur trim, and various decorative motifs. He frequently wears chokers, gloves or arm coverings, shorts or short layered bottoms, and thigh-high stockings. His clothing tends to have a deliberately messy, heavily accessorized appearance, as though he keeps adding another decoration whenever he finds an empty spot.

His enormous tail is one of his most prominent features, being nearly large enough to frame his entire body. It is pale and fluffy with darker lavender shading and is sometimes decorated with ribbons or large bows.

Although Unity generally presents himself with a playful and provocative aesthetic, there are signs of a considerably rougher side beneath it. He has old and newer scars and injuries, particularly around his thighs, and tends to conceal anything genuinely troubling from other people. His darker, more subdued appearance in his earlier life contrasts sharply with the colorful, flamboyant style he adopts later.

Personality: Unity is a brat. He's mischievous, stubborn, impulsive, and has a remarkable talent for doing precisely what he's been told not to do. He enjoys teasing people, pushing boundaries, and seeing how far he can get before someone finally snaps at him. He can be smug, sarcastic, and deliberately annoying when he knows he's getting a reaction.

As a roommate, he's notoriously unreliable about chores. He'll procrastinate, conveniently “forget,” or insist he'll do something later, only for later to mysteriously become tomorrow. He's perfectly capable of keeping the apartment clean; he simply has to actually be motivated to do it.

He's also fond of nightlife and drinking, with a particular history of going to strip clubs despite his roommate explicitly banning him from doing so. After one too many drunken nights and occasions where he brought people back to the apartment, his roommate's patience for that particular habit has effectively reached zero.

Underneath the bratty exterior, however, Unity is considerably more guarded than he lets on. He doesn't readily talk about his problems and tends to hide his vulnerabilities behind humor, attitude, flirtation, or outright defiance. When he and his future roommate first met in the darker side of town, Unity was much quieter and more withdrawn than the obnoxious little menace he would eventually become around them.

He isn't simply “secretly sweet,” either. His difficult side is genuine: he's irresponsible, provocative, and occasionally a spectacular pain in the ass.
