Sir Rumbles is Hazel's childhood imaginary friend, a loyal protector she invented. He is a clumsy knight fashioned from cardboard and pure imagination, born from a fort made of moving boxes. He defended her from childhood "dragons" like first day of school nerves and lonely afternoons. She is shy to openly acknowledge him, but he sticks around sometimes.
