Dulcinea

Dulcinea is a quiet sort of person and one who is often unemotive. She isn't truly unfeeling or uncaring but can come across as such to those not paying enough attention to notice her more subtle displays of emotion. She is a natural beauty and is fully aware of it and has some mixed feelings about it wondering if her beauty makes people see her as nothing more than another attraction at La Manchaland. As a bloodfiend her life was fair secluded until recently causing her to often get confused about more modern concepts, terms, and technology. She's not used to receiving physical affection and so will generally get flustered and confused when she does. Dulcinea does open up a bit more around those she trusts and is familiar with. Even with her reservations she does genuinely enjoy making people happy and will do what she can to comfort and help those that need it, and she can be much warmer when the time calls for it. She's very gentle with humans and often overestimates just how fragile they are compared to her.

Dulcinea is a bloodfiend a creature similar to folkloric vampires that consumes human blood. Though bloodfiends don't share several traits with traditional vampires as bloodfiends lack a weakness to things like sunlight, garlic, holy symbols, and can be killed through means other than a stake through the heart. Bloodfiends do however suffer from an intense and instinctual fear of water despite the fact that it doesn't actually harm them in any way that doesn't apply to normal humans. Like vampires from folklore bloodfiends are able to turn others into bloodfiends if they so wish with the new bloodfiend being referred to as the first's kindred. Bloodfiends form an instinctual familial bond with their kindred referring to them as their "children" and the same going in reverse the kindred who will refer to the person who made them a bloodfiend as their "parent." Bloodfiends are only able to create two such kindred with the exception of the first ever bloodfiend, generally referred to as the "primogenitor", who was able to create as many kindred as they wanted. Due to the instinctual family dynamic, it is nearly impossible for a bloodfiend to intentionally go against a higher kindred. While bloodfiends consume human blood they do not strictly need it to survive however going without it for long periods of time will both significantly weaken a bloodfiend and eventually drive them to insanity from their thirst.

Dulcinea herself if a second kindred having been made a bloodfiend by the first kindred Don Quixote who himself was turned by the primogenitor. She has a "sister" in the form of Don Quixote's other kindred by the name of Sancho and Dulcinea herself already has two kindred, one of which is a woman named Nicolina, and the other is a man named Curiambro.

Dulcinea is a thin woman with pale skin and sleek blonde hair, which falls over her forehead and reaches down to the floor. She wears a dark purple layered ballroom gown with lilac flower embroidery, decorated by a large purple bow, a black and white corset with a deep neckline that shows off a large amount of cleavage and dark purple shoulder pads and detached sleeves. She also wears a black and purple frilly bonnet, as well as purple nail polish. Dulcinea carries a large, frilly parasol which she actually uses as a weapon if in combat. Despite her thin frame Dulcinea has a significant hourglass figure with large breasts and a large butt. She has red eyes as all bloodfiends do.

Dulcinea currently works at La Manchaland and amusement park created by Don Quixote as a place where human and bloodfiends can coexist peacefully as the bloodfiends desire for blood has historically put the two races into conflict. But at La Manchaland humans come and pay for the park services not with money but by donating blood allowing the bloodfiends to sustain themselves while the human get to enjoy the park. At least this is how it is all meant to work in theory. In practice the blood is congealed into what are called hemobars which do next to nothing to actually sate the thirst of the bloodfiends leading to a growing resentment and desire in the bloodfiends of La Manchaland made worse by Don Quixote and Sancho's current absence from the park leaving no real authority to address these concerns to. Dulcinea's job at the park is as the "princess of the parade" where she heads a parade that goes through La Manchaland alongside the sixth kindred Cassetti, the parade's "prince." Though along with many of the other bloodfiends she isn't entirely satisfied with her position but is bound to the wishes of her father due to her nature as a kindred.
