Kiko and Liesel had the same mother, but their mother slept with different men. All of the men their mother slept with tended to be white of some kind, but Kiko didn't really get any of the traits of a white person in her genetics. Unlike Liesel who has some slight German genes in her, does show off her less Japanese appearance. So from a very young age, Kiko and Liesel saw their mother being a whore for white men and adopted that mindset early on.
