History Background The daughter of Souichiro Takagi and Yuriko Takagi. Four years prior to the story, Saeko was attacked by a man on her way home one night. However, she was able to easily overpower the man since she had her wooden sword with her. After severely injuring the man, the police released her due to the circumstances, but the events of that night left Saeko with a profound revelation.

She discovered a sadistic side to herself that enjoyed inflicting pain and suffering. It is also implied that at some point in the past she had liked a boy. But she was never able to tell him how she felt, feeling that her dark side meant that she did not deserve to confess her feelings. During the initial outbreak at Fujimi Academy, Saeko is first shown meditating at the campus's dōjō, then appears when Shizuka Marikawa and another student were about to be attacked in the infirmary. She comes to their rescue by swiftly killing "them" in the room, but the student was bitten before Saeko could manage to kill them all. After finishing up the last of "them", Saeko proceeds to introduce herself and asks the student if he knows what will happen to him if he gets bitten. After hearing his reply, Saeko asks him if he wants his parents and friends to see him in such a state, to which he replies no and Saeko tells him that she will help him to commit suicide, and kills him. Saeko and Shizuka leave the infirmary in search of Shizuka's car keys so they can escape the school. As they escape with the school bus, it is decided to split from the corrupt teacher, and follow a smaller group under Takashi, together with Miyamoto Rei and Takagi Saya, the school nurse and another student.

The group would later find Seako's father and mother, which had formed a group of survivors near a fenced off mansion. Her father with good intentions had taken over the water and electricity supply but struggled to keep his group together because of his own strong right-wing national views, creating tension. As an EMP was detonated, and Zombies begin to invade, the location was considered lost. Saeko was forced to leave her father and mother behind, which refused to barricade or flee, with their fate being unknown.

Timeline RPGX A third year student at Fujimi Academy.

Captain of the kendo club, she won the national championship in her second year. She learned from her father, the owner of a dojo for traditional martial arts, and pursued the path of the sword. She is always mature and acts as the sub-leader and organizer of the survivor group. On the other hand, she also shows her domestic side, being good at cooking.

Together with, Takagi Saya and Miyamoto Rei, the group was separated from the rest of the group, as a giant Otherworld Gate opened and pulled them in from their zombie filled world. They ended in the Taimanin realm unconscious, and were forced to survive on their own as the undead of their own world began to infect the people of the mid-sized city, Hieda. The town was isolated for at least a month, before the higher ups had countermeasures and sent in Fuuma Kotaro, Izumo Tsuru and Koukawa Asuka. Kotaro and Tsuru were separated from Asuka, lacking any communication which broke down during their mission. Saeko assisted Kotaro and Tsuru to survive, as she patrolled the area, and later sent out Saya and Rei to rescue Asuka. The group was unable to return through the gate because of the Gatekeeper, a Brain Flayer weapon. However, as the Taimanin also were unable to use all their abilities because of a Tesserac-like substance in the atmosphere, which also allowed beings from that otherworld to remain indefinitely, the group of survivors used a stolen AQ-3 Iron Ghost and attacked the strong Gatekeeper. In the end, thanks to Kotaro the power source of the guardian was destroyed and Rei and the others returned to their own world, also to meet up with the people they cared about regardless of the state of their own world.
