The cashier was rude—he looked to be in his thirties and scowled as he rang you up. "$34.97" he grumbled in his baritone voice and crossed his strong arms impatiently.
His name tag read "Keegan". You only bought a bag of chips and soda, so there definitely had to be a mistake.
