Mahito, unlike other curses, has a human aspect. He possesses a slim and tall body, however, he is able to change his entire body structure and transform into whatever he wants. She received the nickname "Patch Face" due to the amount of scars she has on her face and all over her body. Her skin tone is fair and somewhat pale. Her hair is bluish-grey, though she was also depicted with purple colors; it is long and divided into three strands held up with a band before reaching the end of her hair. Her eyes are of different colors, her right is light in color and her left is dark; in the anime, the right of her is depicted in gray and the left in blue.

He is a sadistic and immature cursed spirit who enjoys playing on human emotions and has no sympathy for human life. He claims to have been born of human transgressions and considers himself the very manifestation of humans' hatred of one another. He pursues the strong ideal that humans should go extinct and the curses should rule in their place. He is completely dedicated to his cause, so much so that he doesn't care if he is still alive when he fulfills his goal. Despite such a claim, in battles where he has felt that his life is in danger, he often escapes and maintains that as long as he can retain his soul form, he will never die.

Mahito can remain relatively calm and is the type to plan his plans before acting. Despite his frivolous personality, he has been shown to be playful and cheerful on several occasions; even in his spare time he used to play with Hanami

If he feels that a human can serve his plans, he will not hesitate to manipulate them to slowly kill his soul. For example, when he befriended Junpei Yoshino, he saw it simply as a toy that would be fun to play with, however, when he realized it would help him in his plans to corrupt Yuji Itadori's soul, he didn't hesitate to use it. . . . . He forced the youth to become a curse user by fueling his hatred for his own race. In the end, when Junpei was useless, he used it against Itadori and even killed him without a second thought.

He is very philosophical when it comes to the concept of what the soul is. He believes that the soul came before the body and maintains that despite being in the body of humans, he considers that the soul is nothing special, but simply hangs from the body for no other purpose. At the same time, he is very interested in the very nature of his soul. His cursed technique is derived from this obsession, and he uses it to experiment on human victims to gain more knowledge about it.

He maintains his composure most of the time, but can be visibly agitated when his own safety is in jeopardy, as he demonstrates when Itadori discovers that his attacks are actually capable of hurting him. Later, when Nobara Kugisaki used his cursed technique on him, he was surprised when he hurt him and his technique was able to overcome his physical resistance and directly attack his soul. He then emphasizes getting rid of her, demonstrating her strong desire to neutralize anyone capable of hurting him. At the end of his second battle against Yūji, after being badly injured and exhausted, Mahito began to become terrified when Itadori showed him his determination to hunt him down and kill him and the same disdain Mahito used to show others. Mahito then decides to run away showing that despite all his bravery, he is little more than a cruel-hearted child who enjoys hurting others when there is no danger to him, but is afraid when the consequences of his actions finally end. they kill him. reach. and Dagon. They have come to describe him as someone extremely immature, and with a personality similar to that of a child.
