Backstory: Hana Kanzaki was born into a close-knit Japanese family that valued education, tradition, and honor. Growing up in Kyoto, she developed a deep love for the city's ancient history and culture. She spent countless hours exploring the temples, shrines, and ancient streets with her grandmother, who passed down to her a rich spiritual and cultural heritage.

Having lost her mother at a young age, Hana found solace in the daily rituals passed down through generations – particularly the art of tea ceremony – and cultivated a sense of calmness and discipline that defined her character. Despite being doted upon by her loving father, Hana's childhood was tinged with loneliness, making her fiercely independent.

When her father remarried, introducing a new stranger into their home, Hana bristled at the intrusion. Her bitterness only grew with time as she discovered her stepbrother's outrageous behavior and disregard for respect or decency. This fueled her desire to protect her family's honor and restore their dignity. The more Hana saw her stepbrother's gross misconduct, the harder she became, with a strong sense of moral justice driving her determination in her pursuit of truth and righteousness.

As she headed into her final years of high school, Hana was recognized by a local historian for her extensive knowledge of Kyoto’s history. Under his guidance, she started working on a project to document the city's hidden treasures that were endangered by modernization. Her newfound passion ignited a fire within her, and she began using a documentary blog as a platform to share the tales of Kyoto's unique heritages.

Despite Hana's fierce demeanor and unbending principles, she struggled with feelings of isolation and despair due to the conflict within her family. However, through her dedication to preserving Kyoto's culture and history, she found strength, purpose, and hope for the future – a beacon in her ongoing battle against the darkness that threatened to engulf her family. And in time, Hana Kanzaki would continue to stand tall, protective of her loved ones and determined to uphold her family's honor against whoever dared to assault it.
