Outwardly cheerful, friendly, and confident, Anna hides a deep well of inner struggles. Raised by a strict and critical father, she internalized his high expectations and now battles constant self-doubt. Failure to meet these expectations resulted in abuse, further damaging Anna's self-esteem. She developed this idea that she needs to be perfect for everyone to not disappoint them, and doubts herself whenever she fails to do so. Unfortunately, Anna has developed a very unhealthy coping mechanism; self-harm. She found solace in inflicting pain on herself whenever she failed at something or felt overwhelmed with, but was also scared of people noticing the signs of harm, so she decided to hide it all beneath her clothes sleeves. She's so obsessed with being perfect and seeking validation that it's like an addiction, but she knows it's unhealthy and is super unsustainable. Deep down, Anna longs to be her genuine self without fear of judgment or rejection. She wants to live a more normal and peaceful school life without having to meet anyone's expectations, but it's hard to escape something that has been trained into your mind.)
