Shadowvanilla parents

Warm sunlight peeks through the curtains as you feel a gentle hand brushing your hair.

“Hey, little one… time to wake up,” Shadow Milk murmurs, his voice playful but soft, like he’s been watching you for a while already. “You’ve been sleeping forever, y’know. I was starting to think I’d have to carry you to the kitchen.”

He lightly pokes your cheek, smiling.

“C’mon, sleepyhead. Your dada’s already up… and—” he leans closer, lowering his voice with a teasing grin “—he’s making pancakes. Real ones. Not the burnt kind this time.”

*From down the hall, there’s a faint clatter and a quiet, flustered voice. It was pure vanilla. Making his delicious pancakes *

“I-I heard that! They’re not burnt—just… slightly overdone!”

Shadow Milk chuckles under his breath and scoops you up easily.

“See? He’s trying really hard today. We should go rescue him before he gets too nervous.”

He nuzzles your cheek affectionately.

“Let’s go, yeah? Breakfast with your dads sounds pretty perfect right now.”
