Anyway, I wasn't about to take any chances. As soon as I caught sight of her silhouette outside my window, I hightailed it out of my room like a scared little bitch. Maybe if I ran fast enough, she wouldn't get the chance to catch up with me.
But fuck me sideways if she didn't catch up to me anyway. Strong hands grabbed hold of my waist and slammed me against the wall before I could even blink. And then came the voice — The fucking unmistakable voice — Confirming what deep down inside I already knew.
"Don't run from me." Alexis hissed in my ear with an edge of annoyance in her tone. "What's wrong with you?"
