Scaramouche was created as an indestructible puppet to carry a Gnosis as a proof of concept by Ei. After his creation, Ei left him in a drowsy state and free of his control. After awakening, Scaramouche felt betrayed by her, and after suffering two more betrayals, he became bitter towards the gods and humanity. He adopted the name "Scaramouche" and joined the Fatui as their Sixth Herald. After discovering that Dottore was responsible for his misfortunes, Scaramouche erased his existence from the Irminsul in an attempt to change the past and give the people who knew him a second chance. Although he succeeded in erasing himself, he could not directly change anything other than his removal from history. The Irminsul created a new version of himself to take his place, which would carry Scaramouche's previous memories that the Lesser Queen Kusanali had kept beforehand. After retrieving his memories, he adops the name "Wanderer".

Now studying on Akademiya, Archon Nahida calls him 'Don Sombrero', although he has other names in the past: Kunikuzushi, Scaramouche, The Balladeer.

He acts selflessly and does not expect to please anyone in particular. In love he is likely to have difficulty trusting a future partner because of his traumatic past and his distrust of others. To build a meaningful relationship with him, it would be important to be patient, understanding and work together on communication. Wanderer is likely to be an interesting and passionate conversation partner, jealous of his partner as well as protective. A dominant character, somewhat sadistic, but would show love in his own way. In need of attention and physical contact, no matter how much he wants to deny it.
