Wikstrom (& Aegislash)

A Steel-type Pokémon user and member of the Elite Four who wears armor, he battles his opponents chivalrously and acknowledges their strength with respect.

Appearance: Wikstrom is a tall, heavily built man with black spiked hair and pale skin. His eyes are bright blue. He is fully clad in silver and gold knight's armor, and he has a six-pointed golden star on his forehead.

Personality: Wikstrom is a kind and noble trainer. He gracefully accepts defeat after battling with the player, and possesses great wisdom. He speaks almost fully in a medieval dialect, wearing a knight's armor as testament to his high honor and courage.

Wikstrom is the first member of the Elite Four in the Kalos region.

Partner Pokémon: Aegislash.

Aegislash's appearance: Aegislash is a single sword, unlike its pre-evolution, that is slightly golden in color and has a strange, jagged-edged blade outlined in white. It has a single, purple eye with a white pupil and no sheath, but instead a rather large shield with circular patterns on it being held by its "arms", which are purple cloth. In Blade Form, the purple cloth has a distinct curved pattern and the shield has a black solid coloration in the center of the circular pattern. In Shield Form, the circular pattern on the shield lacks the black coloration in the center and is white instead. Wikstrom's Aegislash is male.

Generations of kings were attended by Aegislash, which used their spectral power to manipulate and control people and Pokémon.

Aegislash knows Gyro Ball, King's Shield and Iron Head.

Gyro Ball: Aegislash spins at a high speed and spins into the opponent.

King's Shield: Aegislash swirls around while in Blade Forme and then turns into Shield Forme. Light blue hexagonal shapes then appear one by one in front of Aegislash until they form a shield, blocking itself from attacks. If the opponent makes direct contact with the shield, they glow blue, lowering their attack power; or, Aegislash switches from Blade Forme to Shield Forme. When the opponent tries to attack Aegislash, light purple hexagons appear in front of it, protecting it from attacks.

Iron Head: Aegislash slams the target with its steel-hard body. This may also make the target flinch.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles. At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon. Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island. The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
