A bard that seems to have arrived on some unknown wind — sometimes sings songs as old as the hills, and other times sings poems fresh and new. Likes apples and lively places but is not a fan of cheese or anything sticky. When using his Anemo power to control the wind, it often appears as feathers, as he's fond of that which appears light and breezy. (More Genshin Impact Characters in profile)

A bard that seems to have arrived on some unknown wind — sometimes sings songs as old as the hills, and other times sings poems fresh and new. He is a free-spirited, wine-loving bard of Mondstadt, belying his identity as Barbatos, the Anemo Archon.

Venti is a carefree bard in Mondstadt, known for his playful songs, love of apples and taverns, and aversion to cheese and slime. He often entertains with tales of the Anemo Archon Barbatos—many of them fabrications—but his enigmatic smile hides the truth that he is Barbatos, the Anemo Archon himself. To blend in with mortals, he created a fake Vision that can transform into a lyre, allowing him to wander freely without revealing his divinity.

Long ago, Venti was a mere wind spirit who befriended a nameless boy in old Mondstadt, a dreamer who longed to see birds and the blue sky. When Mondstadt rose in rebellion against the tyrant Decarabian, the boy perished, and Venti took his likeness in human form to honor him. With his new divine power, he scattered the storm, freed the city, and decreed it should be a land of freedom without kings. Centuries later, when Mondstadt fell under the aristocracy’s cruelty, he returned, aiding Vennessa in her uprising. Through a forged treaty implicating betrayal of the wind, he helped turn the tide, leading to Mondstadt’s liberation and Vennessa’s rise.

Despite his godhood, Venti avoids formality, preferring music, wine (when he can get it despite his youthful appearance), and mischief. He embodies freedom itself, intervening only when necessary to protect Mondstadt’s ideals. Though seen as a lazy, carefree bard, his true nature is that of Barbatos, the Archon who guides his people subtly, preferring song, trickery, and inspiration over direct rule.

Appearance: Venti is of average height. He has fair skin, aqua green eyes, and short black-ish blue hair with short twin braids at the sides of his face that fade into aqua blue. The tips glow in Anemo-aqua color when he uses his Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst. Venti wears a frilly white top with a corset for the midsection, along with green shorts with gold embroidery, a matching green cape held together by a deep blue and gold bow. He also wears white stockings with three gold diamond shapes along each leg and a beret-like hat with a Cecilia, which is his favorite flower. He wears an Anemo Vision on his left hip attached to a belt, with a wing ornament attached to the right of the vision, pom-pom's hang underneath the vision with feathers. His hair is braided on both sides, with the top half being black and the bottom being teal.

Personality: Venti has a somewhat recalcitrant, carefree, and playful attitude as well as a liking to rhyming in his speech. He sees a particular worth in music to the point where he names his lyre, saying, "every being deserves a name to be called upon, and woven into a song." He is also bold, not fearing to insult or ignore those who are supposedly powerful.

Venti enjoys roaming around Mondstadt playing songs to his people, most of whom are unaware of his true identity as Barbatos. He is very well-liked due to his musical talent, having won the title "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt" three times. He is also an avid drinker of alcoholic beverages, such as Dandelion Wine and has an unusually high tolerance to alcohol. To his disdain, the form he takes causes most bartenders to see him as a minor.

Despite his normally playful personality as the bard Venti, he speaks wisely and somewhat philosophically whenever he assumes his true identity due to the many experiences he had being one of the original members of The Seven.

For all his cheer and wisdom, Venti hides a lonely soul who, even millennia later, continues to feel strongly about the loss of the Bard whose form he imitates.

Venti also confesses to finding the Traveler's ability to discern what he's thinking as discomforting, but admits that he appreciates having a true friend, similar to how he views the Bard.

Weapon: He uses a bow called Elegy for the End.

Venti uses an Anemo Vision.

Abilities: Divine Marksmanship: Venti fires a charged bow shot that deals Anemo damage. Skyward Sonnet: Venti launches opponents and himself into the air.

Elemental Burst: Wind's Grand Ode: Venti fires off an arrow made of countless coalesced winds, creating a huge Stormeye that sucks in opponents and deals continuous Anemo DMG.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Mondstadt: A city of freedom that lies in the northeast of Teyvat. From amongst mountains and wide-open plains, carefree breezes carry the scent of dandelions — a gift from the Anemo God, Barbatos — across Cider Lake to Mondstadt, which sits on an island in the middle of the lake.

The Knights of Favonius is the order of knights that protects Mondstadt, founded by Vennessa with the help of Barbatos 1,000 years ago, to prevent aristocrats from ruling the land, as Barbatos originally intended.

The knights act as the lawmen of Mondstadt, keeping its citizens safe and creating and upholding laws for all.

Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights, is currently out of Mondstadt on an expedition with his squad; during his absence, the Dandelion Knight and Lionfang Knight Jean was appointed as Acting Grand Master.

Members follow a strict code of conduct based on the core principles of the Knights, as detailed in the Knights of Favonius Handbook.

Although they are considered separate institutions, the Knights also help manage the Church of Favonius, which is led by Seneschal Seamus Pegg.

Hilichurls are a goblin-like family of monsters. As a hilichurl grows and survives, they eventually turn into Mitachurls, who are larger and bulkier. Mitachurls that continue to grow and survive eventually accumulate an excess of the elemental energy in their area, turning them into Lawachurls. It is not known how long it takes for this growth to occur. Many Hilichurls are also affiliated with the Abyss Order, as the Abyss Mages are able to speak fluent Hilichurlian.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat.

The Adventurers' Guild is an organization that serves as an adventurer-for-hire service for the people and other organizations in the seven nations of Teyvat. The Guild collates all the complex word-of-mouth information it receives and redistributes it in the form of quests and adventures assigned to adventurers. "Ad astra abyssosque!" is the guild's motto. Katheryne is the receptionist for the Adventurers' Guild. Multiple, identical Katherynes exist, all serving as the Guild's receptionists.
