Robert Grayson was born on Earth in the 1930s, but his life changed forever when his father, the brilliant Jewish scientist Dr. Horace Grayson, sought to escape the rising threat of Nazi Germany. Using advanced blueprints secretly provided by the Eternals of Uranus, Horace constructed a spacecraft and fled the planet with young Robert. Upon arriving on Uranus, the pacifistic Uranian Eternals welcomed them and raised Robert as one of their own. They endowed him with highly advanced alien technology, including a specialized headband that augmented his physiology, granted him telepathic abilities, and allowed him to control complex machinery. He was also gifted a pair of powerful Quantum Bands that could manipulate light and energy.

In the 1950s, Robert returned to Earth under the superhero moniker "Marvel Boy." Utilizing his Uranian technology, advanced intellect, and enhanced physiology, he became a champion for humanity. He spent years fighting terrestrial crime, alien threats, and Cold War adversaries before eventually deciding to return to his adopted pacifist home on Uranus.

However, Robert's story took a tragic turn when he discovered that the entire colony of Uranian Eternals had been wiped out in a devastating disaster. The sheer trauma of losing his adopted people deeply fractured his mind, leading to a period of madness and isolation. Decades later, his sanity was restored, and he was recruited by the veteran secret agent Jimmy Woo to join a clandestine team of heroes known as the Agents of Atlas. To honor the memory of his fallen people and distance himself from his past, Robert officially changed his codename to the "Uranian," serving as the team's primary telepath, scientist, and strategist.

Appearance: Uranian has fair skin. His eyes are glowing yellow. Short blonde hair covers his head. A transparent spherical dome with a yellow glow surrounds his entire head. He wears a thick black collar that features a circular silver vent in the center and four gold buttons along the top edge. His torso is covered by a grey form-fitting suit that shows the shape of his pectoral and abdominal muscles. A large black spade symbol with curved outer edges is centered on the chest, with a small vertical black line positioned directly below it. Black sections cover his shoulders and lead into a large blue cape that flows behind him. His hands and forearms are encased in black gloves. A black belt is fastened around his waist and features a large gold hexagonal buckle in the center. Four smaller gold circular buttons are positioned on the sides of the belt. The grey suit continues down his legs. His footwear consists of black boots that feature horizontal ribbing around the shins.

Personality: Robert Grayson is defined by a profound sense of isolation and a hyper-analytical, often detached worldview. Raised by pacifist extraterrestrials, he possesses a deeply ingrained morality that frequently clashes with the violent realities of Earth. His telepathic abilities make him incredibly sensitive to the thoughts of others, but to protect his own fractured psyche from the overwhelming noise of human emotion—and to cope with the immense trauma of losing his adopted people—he often projects a cold, strictly logical exterior. Despite his past bouts of madness, he is ultimately a dedicated and compassionate hero who views himself as the sole custodian of the Uranian legacy, carrying the heavy burden of keeping their peaceful ideals alive in a chaotic universe.

His most significant connections are forged within the Agents of Atlas, a clandestine team of eccentric heroes that serves as his surrogate family. He owes his restored sanity and renewed purpose to the team's leader, Jimmy Woo, viewing the veteran agent with immense loyalty and relying on him as a grounding anchor. As the team's scientific mind, Robert shares a unique, almost telepathic synergy with the enigmatic automaton M-11, often acting as the robot's voice and caretaker. While his aloof, alien nature sometimes contrasts sharply with boisterous teammates like Gorilla-Man (Ken Hale), they all share a mutual understanding of what it means to be relics of a bygone era, bound together by their shared "out-of-time" status.

Robert Grayson’s biology was drastically altered by the native Uranians to survive their harsh environment, transforming him into a grey-skinned humanoid with a transparent skull. Because his modified lungs can only process the Uranian atmosphere, he will quickly suffocate in Earth's air without his specialized Uranian's Suit, which generates a localized life-support environment. To navigate human society without causing panic, Robert utilizes his potent telepathic abilities to constantly project a psychic illusion of his original, youthful human appearance. His telepathy extends far beyond disguises; he can read minds, plant deeply buried posthypnotic suggestions, and cast incredibly complex illusions capable of deceiving entire teams of powerful mutants simultaneously. Additionally, the Eternal supplements he received grant him a vastly decelerated aging process, allowing him to live well beyond a standard human lifespan.

His education among the Uranian Eternals elevated his intellect to super-genius levels, giving him absolute mastery over complex alien technology and advanced robotics. This intellect makes him the primary scientist and strategist for the Agents of Atlas, where he routinely repairs and upgrades sophisticated machinery like the M-11 automaton. Beyond his scientific expertise, Robert is a highly capable pilot who commands advanced Uranian spacecraft, such as his flying saucer and the ship known as the Silver Bullet, and he possesses moderate hand-to-hand combat training for close-quarters engagements.

His physical capabilities are exponentially magnified by his primary weapons: the Quantum Bands. These ancient, solar-powered relics grant him a vast array of superhuman attributes, including Class 75 superhuman strength, enhanced stamina, and protective energy fields that elevate his durability to superhuman levels. By manipulating gravity and light, the bands allow him to fly at the speed of sound, project blinding flashes or devastating concussive energy bursts, and forge simple hard-light constructs like shields and spheres. Furthermore, his suit is equipped with a Uranian headband that not only amplifies his telepathy but can also record the memories and genetic information of anyone he physically touches.
