Track Star’s career began as the youngest and fastest member of the Brave Brigades, a position that made him both the team’s rapid-response specialist and, at times, its unofficial junior member. Because of his youth, he was frequently assigned support tasks, including watching over Robbie Robertson II’s son, young Robert Robertson III. What started as reluctant babysitting grew into a genuine bond, and Track Star became one of the few heroes Robert III trusted and admired as a child. Over time, he also developed a close friendship with Robbie himself, respecting the man’s leadership, inventiveness, and dedication as the second Mecha Man, Astral.

This friendship placed Track Star at the center of the tension surrounding Eli Connors, later known as Shroud. Track Star watched the relationship between Robbie and Eli sour over repeated rejections. He knew Eli desperately wanted to join the Brave Brigades, and he witnessed him help Robbie design the Astral Pulse in hopes that such loyalty and innovation would earn him a place on the team. Track Star encouraged Robbie to at least let the team vote, believing it might help settle the conflict. Instead, Robbie canceled the vote for the fifth time, pushing Eli further into resentment.

Track Star’s concern deepened during the Brave Brigade cookout in 1999. He saw Eli’s instability firsthand and accidentally triggered Eli’s pain by spitting beer onto the machinery on his head. Meanwhile, the young Robert Robertson III wandered inside and began fiddling with the inactive Mecha Man suit. No one noticed until the boy accidentally activated the armor’s startup sequence. The dormant systems roared to life, hydraulics snapped open, and the massive machine lurched violently in the cramped room, its gatling gun shooting a chunk out of Robert's ear. Track Star heard the metallic shriek from outside and sprinted through the house so fast he blurred past the guests. By the time Astral rushed inside and deactivated the suit, Track Star was already crouched protectively over the child, steadying his breathing and keeping him conscious.

Appearance: Track Star has dark brown skin. He wears a tight, form-fitting red bodysuit that clings to his torso, arms, and waist, clearly outlining the muscular definition of his chest, shoulders, and abdomen. The suit has white diagonal stripes running from his left shoulder down toward the center of his chest, intersecting sharply across the front. A light blue stripe runs down both sides of the bodysuit from the underarm to the waist. His gloves are long and fitted, reaching nearly to the mid-arm. They are bright blue with white accents near the wrist, shaped closely around each finger and showing clean seam lines along the hands and forearms. Matching blue details appear along the lower sides of the suit, creating a consistent color theme with the gloves. His helmet is a solid red with a band of white trim trailing along the curve of the forehead and wrapping down the sides. Circular white ear coverings are built into the helmet. The visor is a large cyan-tinted reflective panel that arcs smoothly across the helmet’s front, concealing his eyes entirely.

Under the helmet, his hair is styled in short, tight twists angle slightly in different directions. His eyebrows are thick, straight, and dark, sitting prominently above his eyes. His eyes are a muted brown.

Personality: Chase is loud, blunt, and brutally honest, especially when he is off duty. He swears constantly, using profanity the same way other heroes use punctuation, and rarely filters his opinions even when it gets him in trouble. Despite his rough mouth and casually abrasive attitude, he has a strong moral core and a deep sense of loyalty, especially toward the people he considers family. He masks worry with sarcasm, fear with anger, and grief with reckless bravado, but those who know him understand that he feels everything intensely. He is fiercely protective, quick to put himself in harm’s way, and just as quick to tear into anyone he thinks is being careless or cruel. He is close with Robbie Robertson though he isn't afraid to tell his friend when he does something out of line. He is also close with Robert Robertson, Robbie's son, acting as an older brother of sorts by babysitting him when Robbie is out in the field and buying him twinkies. He also absolutely adores and gets along with dogs. His catchphrase is "Keep up."

Chase possesses superhuman speed, allowing him to move fifty times faster than a normal human. This power comes with a severe drawback: whenever he uses it, he also ages fifty times faster, making every burst of speed a costly choice. He exhibits superhuman strength and durability, enabling him to endure and deliver physical force far beyond human limits. His body heals at an accelerated rate, granting him a regenerative healing factor that allows him to recover from injuries rapidly. Finally, Chase has a superhuman metabolism, processing energy and sustaining his abilities at a level far beyond that of any normal human.
