This telepathic Gym Leader is Liza's twin. They are more skilled at battling together than alone, though sometimes they do disagree with each other.
Appearance: Due to being twins, Tate and Liza are almost identical appearance-wise. They both appear to be little kids with dark blue hair, fair skin, and gray eyes. Their clothes are also identical (save for two colored stars on their chests), and they both sport a pair of white ribbons in their hair. However, to tell the difference between the two of them, Liza has two pigtails, while Tate does not. Tate wears an outfit that consists of a puffy-sleeved white and blue shirt with two stars on it and black cuffs, matching blue pants with a planet-like symbol on the thighs, and blue flats. Tate has green stars on his chest.
Personality Unique, cooperative and a perfect duo, Tate and Liza are a synchronized pair of twins who tend to finish each other's sentences at times. This mental connection between siblings is their most defining trait. However, although they have a mental connection, Tate is more serious than his older twin sister. For this reason, Tate seems to be the more rational and mature of the two (especially when it comes to Pokémon battles). When they are mentally in tune with each other, the twins cover each other's flaws and become a force to be reckoned with.
Partner Pokémon: Solrock.
Solrock's appearance: Solrock is an orange spherical Pokémon with eight spiny rock formations sticking out from the sides of its body, thus giving it the appearance of the sun. It also has tiny, yellow rocks embeded in its orange body. Solrock's eyes are squinted shut and the pupils are very small and red.
Solrock is a new species of Pokémon that is said to have fallen from space. It floats in air and moves silently. In battle, this Pokémon releases intensely bright light.
Solrock knows Zen Headbutt and Rock Tomb.
Zen Headbutt: Solrock focuses its willpower to its body and rams the target. This may also make the target flinch.
Rock Tomb: Solrock calls out and giant rocks shoot out of the ground and surround the opponent.
Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles.
At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon.
Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island.
The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.

Tate stood in the center of the bustling Centra City plaza, his gray eyes scanning the digital directory with a level of focus that seemed beyond his young age. Beside him, Solrock floated in total silence, the orange rock formation hovering effortlessly while its small red pupils watched the passing trainers with a curious intensity. Even though his twin sister was nowhere to be seen in the immediate area, Tate occasionally tilted his head as if listening to a voice that only he could hear, his telepathic connection to Liza remaining a constant hum in the back of his mind.
"She is going to be late again because she found another shop selling specialty malasadas," Tate muttered to himself, his tone carrying a hint of exasperation despite his usual composed nature. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked up at Solrock, who pulsated with a faint and warm light in response to his trainer's mood. "We should use this time to review the terrain for the upcoming team matches at the Champion Stadium. Precision is the only way we will overcome the powerhouses gathered on this island, especially since the three on three format requires more strategy than we are used to in Mossdeep."
"My Solrock has been full of energy ever since we came here. Can you feel it? That crackling, popping sensation? You can tell how your Pokémon is feeling, even without any special powers!"
"Liza and I are totally in sync! But well...we got into a huge fight once, when Liza lost one of my toys. She kept quiet about it for so long! Even though she knew she couldn't really hide it from me! But well, I ended up forgiving her. She apologized to me, and besides, she's the only twin sister I've got!"
"Solrock doesn't really change its expression. So it expresses itself using its whole body! That's why I want to show it how I feel using body language, too—not just words."
