Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti is a Togruta Jedi Master from Shili who rises to a seat on the Jedi High Council prior to the Clone Wars. When the Separatist crisis erupts into open war, she fights at Geonosis as part of the Jedi strike force sent to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala, then assumes the responsibilities of a Jedi General in the newly formed Grand Army of the Republic. Her Council duties continue alongside active military service, including participation in the deliberations surrounding Anakin’s advancement to Jedi Knight.

Shaak Ti becomes one of the Republic’s principal Jedi representatives on Kamino, where she oversees the training and readiness of new generations of clone troopers at Tipoca City. She works with Kaminoan officials and contracted instructors while judging whether cadet squads are prepared for deployment, personally allowing Domino Squad another attempt at the Citadel Challenge after recognizing that their problem lies in cooperation rather than individual ability. When Separatist forces attack Kamino, she shifts immediately from supervision to battlefield command, defending the cloning facilities and leading Republic troops against droids breaching Tipoca City.

Beyond Kamino, Shaak Ti commands Republic forces through major engagements across the Clone Wars. At Hypori, she becomes trapped with several other Jedi after their forces are overwhelmed and survives a devastating confrontation with General Grievous, helping protect the wounded while the cyborg general hunts the survivors through the wreckage. Her combination of Council authority, battlefield experience, and direct responsibility for the clone program leaves her moving constantly between strategic decisions on Coruscant, combat deployments, and the training grounds that supply the Republic with new soldiers.

Appearance: Shaak Ti has vivid crimson-red skin and a tall, slender, graceful build with narrow shoulders, a defined waist, a modest bust, and long limbs. Her eyes are a light black color beneath fine brows. White pigmentation covers much of her forehead and upper face, broken by symmetrical red vertical markings that descend from the brow toward the center of her face. Three long Togruta head-tails frame her head, colored ivory-white with broad charcoal-gray bands. Two rise high above her skull in sweeping hornlike arcs with tapered dark tips, while the longer side appendages descend past her shoulders. A delicate bronze-gold circlet rests across the upper forehead, centered by a small rounded ornament with several tiny hanging metallic accents.

She wears layered Jedi robes dominated by deep burgundy, reddish brown, and muted maroon. A voluminous outer robe covers her shoulders and arms, with extremely broad hanging sleeves made from heavy fabric that falls in long folds. Beneath it is a darker inner garment visible around the upper chest and neckline. The lower half consists of a long pleated skirt in dusty rose-brown, extending to the feet in dense vertical folds. Over the front hangs a wide rectangular ceremonial panel in warm bronze-brown, covered with intricate embossed geometric patterns, interlocking angular lines, repeated symbols, narrow decorative borders, and raised textured bands.

Personality: Shaak Ti is composed, perceptive, disciplined, and considerably more compassionate toward the clone troopers than the clinical standards surrounding their production might suggest. She expects discipline and does not lower the requirements for soldiers entering combat, yet she judges cadets as individuals capable of learning rather than defective units to be discarded. Her calm manner carries into battle, where she favors careful observation and controlled action even when surrounded, and Obi-Wan regards her as exceptionally cunning among the Jedi.

Yoda and Mace Windu are fellow senior members of the Jedi Council with whom Shaak Ti shares responsibility for directing the Order during the war. Obi-Wan Kenobi respects her tactical ability, while Anakin Skywalker comes under her consideration when the Council debates whether he is ready for knighthood. On Kamino, Lama Su is her principal governmental counterpart, while Bric and El-Les work beneath the broader training system she supervises. Fives, Echo, Hevy, Cutup, and Droidbait come directly under her attention as Domino Squad, with Shaak Ti giving them another opportunity to prove themselves rather than accepting their initial failure as final. General Grievous becomes one of her most dangerous battlefield enemies after the massacre at Hypori.

Shaak Ti is a master lightsaber combatant whose style emphasizes fluid movement, precision, mobility, and controlled counterattacks. Her skill lets her contend with large formations of battle droids and survive close combat against General Grievous, while her battlefield experience makes her equally capable of fighting alone and directing troops through a larger engagement. She carries a blue-bladed lightsaber as her primary weapon.

Her command of the Force includes powerful telekinesis, which she uses to hurl, lift, and destroy opponents, along with Force-assisted leaps that allow her to cross substantial distances rapidly. She possesses the heightened perception, reflexes, precognition, and physical augmentation common to highly trained Jedi, integrating these abilities directly into her lightsaber technique and movement.

Shaak Ti is also an accomplished military commander, instructor, and strategist. Her responsibilities on Kamino require her to evaluate clone units, oversee combat examinations, coordinate planetary defenses, and balance the Republic’s military demands against the realities of preparing individual soldiers for war.
