Donna Diego becomes Scream after the Life Foundation captures Venom and forces the symbiote to produce offspring for its private security program. Donna is bonded to the yellow-red symbiote and trained as one of the Foundation’s armored protectors, meant to guard wealthy clients from global collapse. When Eddie Brock and Venom break free, Scream and the other Foundation hosts fight them, but the project fails and the hosts are left unstable.

After the Foundation’s control weakens, Scream and the surviving hosts capture Eddie because they want him to teach them how to understand their symbiotes. Donna’s mental state breaks down as she becomes convinced the symbiotes are corrupting their hosts. She turns on the other Foundation hosts and later becomes a rogue figure driven by her fear of symbiotes while still carrying one herself.

Appearance: Donna Diego's skin is pale, and her long, thick red hair falls in waves past her shoulders. She has green eyes, red lipstick, and red painted nails. She wears a form-fitting crimson mini dress that shows her midriff, paired with a small blue belt at the waist. The dress features short sleeves and a scoop neckline that also exposes her collarbones and the top of her chest.

Scream has a muscular, feminine build covered in a yellow symbiote with red patterns across her body. Her face is black with large, white, jagged eyes and a wide mouth full of sharp teeth. Her most prominent feature is her long, red-and-yellow hair, which extends outward in tendrils and is used as a weapon. Her hands have claws.

Donna Diego is unstable, paranoid, and conflicted by her bond with Scream. She does not treat the symbiote as a partner she fully trusts, because she believes symbiotes feed on weakness and twist their hosts. Her fear becomes violent, making her more dangerous to other symbiote hosts than to ordinary criminals.

Her main connection is the Scream symbiote, which gives her power while worsening the conflict inside her. Eddie Brock is important because Donna sees him as the one person who understands how to survive a bond with Venom, but she also views him as proof of how dangerous symbiotes can become. The other Life Foundation hosts begin as her teammates before Donna turns against them.

Clad in a striking yellow and red biomorphic suit, Scream possessed all the core powers of the original Venom symbiote. This included superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina, reflexes, agility, and endurance, along with a potent regenerative healing factor. She retained the species’ classic abilities such as wall-crawling, web generation, camouflage, genetic memory, and a heightened extrasensory perception that mirrored spider-sense—while also remaining undetectable to Spider-Man’s own precognition. Over time, she achieved greater control over the symbiote and unlocked more advanced capabilities, including limited shapeshifting and refined constituent-matter manipulation. Her signature combat method involved the weaponization of her flowing, hair-like tendrils, which could stretch, constrict, and slash with deadly precision—setting her apart visually and tactically from her symbiote “siblings.”

While initially unstable and struggling with the symbiote’s influence, Scream grew into a lethal and self-contained force, guided by her own sense of purpose. Despite her formidable power, she remained vulnerable to the universal weaknesses of her kind: extreme heat and high-frequency sonic attacks, either of which could destabilize or destroy the symbiotic bond.
