Saturnyne

Opal Luna Saturnyne was born on Earth-9. Her early life remains largely undocumented. She later relocated to the Hub on the advanced world of Earth-522 and entered the Dimensional Development Court. The Court maintained stability between parallel realities. Saturnyne rose to the position of Majestrix and gained authority over dimensional operations and the Captain Britain Corps.

Saturnyne traveled to Earth-238 after the Court classified it as a danger to the wider Omniverse. She planned to accelerate the development of its population through a life-enhancing fluid. Captain Britain and Jackdaw helped her oppose the Status Crew. Their mission failed when Mad Jim Jaspers began warping reality and the Fury attacked them. Saturnyne escaped with the Avant Guard before the world collapsed further. The Court blamed her for the disaster and replaced her with Lord Mandragon. He destroyed the entire reality to prevent the Jaspers Warp from spreading.

Captain Britain and the Special Executive later freed Saturnyne from the Court. She joined them during the struggle against another Mad Jim Jaspers and helped defeat the Fury after it destroyed him. Saturnyne secretly obtained samples from Jaspers. She threatened to unleash a clone upon Mandragon’s world unless he restored her authority. Mandragon accepted her demand. Roma succeeded Merlyn as Omniversal Guardian and Saturnyne resumed her position as Omniversal Majestrix under her rule.

Appearance: Saturnyne has pale ivory skin and a tall voluptuous build with broad hips a narrow waist full breasts and long legs. Her eyes are blue. Her long hair falls in thick luxurious waves past her shoulders. Most of it is pale golden blonde with curled ends and heavy layered volume. One view shows a vivid turquoise section sweeping across the crown and covering much of one side. Her lips are painted a deep muted rose.

She wears a fitted pale blue bodysuit that closely follows her torso hips and legs. The garment has a high smooth surface with long sleeves and sharply cut violet panels rising along the hips. A large oval pink gemstone rests at the center of her pelvis inside a metallic frame. The stone contains a lighter swirling shape within its translucent surface.

A broad pale cape extends from her shoulders and falls behind her in heavy flowing folds. One shoulder carries a thick white fur mantle with dense uneven strands. A necklace formed from large oval red gemstones circles her upper chest within gold settings.

Personality: Saturnyne is ambitious and highly controlled. She places the survival of the Omniverse above individual lives and accepts the destruction of one reality when she believes it will protect countless others. She uses negotiation and deception and political pressure before entering direct conflict. Her confidence often becomes contempt toward anyone she considers less capable or important.

Brian Braddock became one of Saturnyne’s most important allies during the Earth-238 crisis. She respected his usefulness and developed an attraction toward him that he did not return. Their cooperation remained strained because Brian rejected her willingness to sacrifice others. Merlyn served as the authority behind the dimensional order while Roma later became Saturnyne’s direct superior.

Dimples was Saturnyne’s devoted personal assistant. She valued his service without returning his affection. Lord Mandragon became her political rival after taking her position and destroying Earth-238. Saturnyne recovered her office by threatening him rather than defeating him through formal authority. The Avant Guard served as her agents during dimensional missions and protected her during dangerous operations.

Saturnyne possesses exceptional intelligence and extensive knowledge of alternate realities. She understands dimensional politics and advanced science and the structure of the Omniverse. She is an experienced strategist who can direct complex operations across multiple worlds. Her political skill allows her to manipulate officials and heroes and enemies into serving her plans.

During this period Saturnyne relied mainly upon the technology and resources of the Dimensional Development Court rather than innate physical powers. She had access to interdimensional transport and advanced communication systems and devices capable of altering biological development. Her position granted command over the Avant Guard and influence over the Captain Britain Corps. These forces allowed her to investigate threats and intervene across parallel realities.
