Pepper Potts becomes Rescue after her life is nearly destroyed by attacks surrounding Tony Stark and his enemies. After being badly injured, she survives through Stark technology placed inside her body, which later lets her interface with a special armor Tony built for her in secret. She discovers the suit inside a hidden room and takes it up during the period when Tony is being hunted, using it to protect people and help him stay alive rather than becoming another weapon in his war.

As Rescue, Pepper steps out of the role of simply managing Stark’s life from the outside and enters the danger directly. She helps Tony during his fugitive period, survives capture by Madame Masque, and uses the armor to free them both so Tony can escape.

Appearance: Pepper Potts in the Rescue armor has a slender, metallic build with prominent breasts and a narrow waist. She has glowing blue eyes integrated into her helmet visor. She wears a full-coverage suit of high-tech armor predominantly colored in metallic lavender-blue with silver accent plating. No organic skin is visible. Her helmet features a silver faceplate surrounded by a lavender-blue helmet casing.

The torso of the armor features a central, circular chest piece that emits a bright, glowing blue light. Silver accent plates wrap around her collarbone and ribcage area, highlighting the contours of her chest. The shoulder armor connects to silver segmented plating on her inner biceps, leading down to lavender-blue gauntlets that encase her forearms and segmented fingers.

The lower half of her armor consists of form-fitting leg segments. The thighs feature long, curved silver accent panels on the outer sides, integrated into the primary lavender-blue armor plating that extends down to her lower legs.

Personality: As Rescue, Pepper Potts is practical, protective, and far more comfortable saving lives than escalating fights. She understands Tony Stark’s world better than most people inside it because she has spent years managing the damage around him, but the Rescue identity lets her step into danger on her own terms. Her armor reflects that mindset, since it is built more for defense, evacuation, and survival than for becoming another weapon. Tony’s own history with her shows how much he values her judgment and steadiness, even when his secrecy and self-destructive choices strain that trust.

Her closest relationship is with Tony Stark, built through years of work, trust, emotional strain, and repeated crises around his armored life. Happy Hogan is also central to her earlier life, since their bond becomes serious enough for marriage before later tragedy and separation reshape her path. As Rescue, Pepper’s connections extend into Tony’s armored circle, including allies such as James Rhodes and others who understand the cost of operating in that world. Her relationships are usually grounded in responsibility rather than spectacle, because Pepper is often the person trying to keep people alive, keep Stark’s world functioning, and pull Tony back when his choices put everyone at risk.

Pepper Potts has no natural superhuman powers. After Ezekiel Stane’s attack, Tony places a mag-field generator in her chest to keep shrapnel from killing her, and later upgrades connected to that technology give her flight, improved vision, better metabolism, greater strength, faster reactions, and increased intelligence.

As Rescue, she uses the Mark 1616 armor, a suit built for emergency response rather than heavy offense. The armor has a J.A.R.V.I.S. interface, lets her operate independently in the field, and is suited for rescue work, protection, escape, and defensive action. She can control the armor well enough to free herself and Tony from captivity, and later versions let her fight armored enemies, but her role remains centered on saving lives instead of overpowering enemies.
