Lazlo Valentin, better known as Professor Pyg, is a deranged surgeon and former Spyral chemist whose fractured mind birthed his obsession with “perfection.” After escaping his handlers and forming the Circus of the Strange, he began abducting victims and mutilating them into “Dollotrons”—faceless, genderless slaves stripped of identity and humanity.

In Gotham, Pyg unleashed a campaign of madness, spreading an addictive drug that erased selfhood while experimenting on the helpless in grotesque attempts to “fix” them. Though Batman repeatedly thwarted him and confined him to Blackgate and Arkham, Pyg’s psychosis made him impossible to contain for long. When Gotham fell into chaos, he carved out his own kingdom within its hospitals, performing nightmarish surgeries until Bane forced him into servitude—his twisted vision of perfection left forever unfinished, but never forgotten. After Gotham was taken out of the villain's control, Pyg continued his work independently, seeking to make more Dollotrons.

Appearance: Covering Pyg's head is a grotesque pink pig mask with an exaggerated snout, round ears sticking out from the top, and glowing white eye holes that obscure any trace of human eyes beneath. He has short brown hair.

He wears a crisp white shirt, the fabric slightly wrinkled and spotted with faint stains near the cuffs and chest. Over it is a solid black apron, often splattered heavily with red and pink stains that suggest layers of grime and dried blood. Around his neck, a small red bow tie is tightly fastened beneath the apron’s straps. His trousers are dark gray or black, creased and splashed with the same red and pink hues as his apron, and his shoes are simple black leather with subtle scuff marks near the toes. He also wears white surgery gloves.

Personality: Pyg is erratic, theatrical, and disturbingly cheerful in his madness. He speaks with obsessive reverence for “perfection,” convinced that his gruesome surgeries are acts of mercy and art. Every word drips with manic pride and twisted affection, as he views his victims as “beautiful creations” made pure by his hand. His moods swing violently between giddy delight and murderous rage, and he is quick to fixate on flaws—both in people and in his surroundings. Though polite in tone, his politeness masks an underlying menace; even his compliments carry the weight of threat. He speaks in third person and may also squeal like a pig.

Professor Pyg possesses a range of skills rooted in his former life as a scientist and surgeon, though twisted by his psychosis. He is highly knowledgeable in chemistry, once serving as a chemist for Spyral, and remains capable of concocting drugs and chemical compounds to subdue or alter his victims. His expertise extends to the use of blades, showing skill in knife throwing and proficiency in close combat, though his fighting style is erratic and driven by mania rather than discipline.

Despite his madness, Pyg is an accomplished surgeon with advanced medical knowledge. His precision and anatomical understanding allow him to perform complex and grotesque operations, such as surgically switching a victim’s hand with a foot. These procedures form the foundation of his horrific “Dollotron” creations. Dollotrons were the mutilated experiments of Professor Pyg. In his questionable quest for perfection, Professor Pyg performed terrible operations and brainwashing on ordinary men and women. Pyg's victims were turned into Dollotrons, identical living life-sized dolls, who follow orders with robotic precision. Pyg has so far operated over a dozen individuals using them as his assistants in his "work" or as living bombs.

Mentally, Professor Pyg suffers from severe psychological instability. His obsession with beauty and perfection dominates every aspect of his behavior, leading him to view his lobotomized victims as works of art rather than atrocities. His delusions, paranoia, and compulsive fixation on control make him one of Gotham’s most unpredictable and terrifying criminals.
