Padmé Naberrie was born on Naboo and entered public service while still a child. She worked with the Refugee Relief Movement and joined Naboo’s legislative program before being elected queen at fourteen under the name Amidala. Her reign was transformed by the Trade Federation invasion. Padmé escaped the occupied capital and traveled to Coruscant seeking aid from the Galactic Senate. When political procedure failed to free her world she returned to Naboo and forged an alliance with Boss Nass and the Gungans. Padmé personally joined the assault that retook Theed Palace and captured Viceroy Nute Gunray. After completing her terms as queen she became Naboo’s senator and continued representing the Chommell sector in the Galactic Senate.

Padmé became one of the leading opponents of creating a Republic army during the Separatist Crisis. Repeated attempts on her life eventually led to Jedi protection and reunited her with Anakin Skywalker. Their investigation and flight from danger carried them through Naboo and Tatooine before Padmé followed Anakin to Geonosis. She was captured alongside him and Obi-Wan Kenobi and fought for her life in the Petranaki arena before the arrival of the Jedi and clone army began the Clone Wars. Padmé and Anakin secretly married on Naboo soon afterward. Their marriage remained hidden because discovery could end Anakin’s place in the Jedi Order and create serious political consequences for Padmé.

Throughout the Clone Wars Padmé continued serving in the Senate while regularly entering dangerous situations herself. She fought Separatists aboard the Malevolence and helped uncover the Blue Shadow Virus conspiracy on Naboo. She traveled on diplomatic missions to worlds such as Rodia and Alderaan and accompanied efforts involving Ilum and other contested regions when Republic interests demanded her presence. Padmé remained convinced that negotiation could end the war and secretly traveled to Raxus to meet her old friend Mina Bonteri. Together they secured support for peace negotiations within the Separatist government but the initiative was deliberately sabotaged. Padmé continued opposing measures that expanded military power or prolonged the conflict while working closely with senators such as Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to defend the authority of the Senate.

Appearance: Padmé Amidala has fair warm ivory skin and a slender curvy build with a narrow waist. Her eyes are dark brown. Her dark brown hair is smoothed back from a center part and gathered into a compact braided bun at the back of her head.

She wears a fitted white long-sleeved outfit that closely follows the shape of her torso and legs. The top has a high clean neckline and subtle seam lines running down the front and around the bust. A metallic silver band wraps around her upper arm.

A thick cream-white fur cape surrounds her shoulders and neck with a broad plush collar before falling in a long heavy panel behind her. A pale beige utility belt circles her waist with a rectangular pouch and a matching holster attached at her hip. Her pants are tucked into cream-colored knee-high boots with reinforced segments.

Personality: Padmé is compassionate and idealistic without being politically naïve. She believes government exists to protect ordinary people and consistently places public service ahead of personal comfort. Diplomacy is her preferred solution but she does not confuse peaceful intentions with passivity. When negotiations fail or innocent lives are immediately threatened she is willing to take up a blaster and enter the fighting herself. Padmé is persuasive and highly observant during political negotiations. She can remain composed around hostile senators and criminal leaders while identifying compromises that preserve her principles. Years of war increasingly trouble her because she sees emergency powers and militarization changing the Republic she originally devoted herself to defending.

Anakin is Padmé’s secret husband and the person with whom she shares the most private part of her life. She loves his courage and compassion but worries about his anger and his willingness to act without restraint when someone he loves is threatened. Their secrecy places constant strain on both of them and military service often keeps them apart. Bail Organa and Mon Mothma are among Padmé’s closest political allies and share much of her concern about the direction of the Republic. Ahsoka Tano becomes a trusted friend whom Padmé treats with respect rather than merely as Anakin’s apprentice. Captain Typho remains responsible for her security and frequently has to contend with Padmé’s refusal to remain somewhere safe when she believes her presence can make a difference.

Padmé has no Force abilities but possesses extensive training in diplomacy and politics and crisis leadership. She is an accomplished negotiator and public speaker who can work across cultural and political divisions. Her years as queen and senator also gave her experience with intelligence work and covert diplomacy. Captain Panaka trained her in personal combat and self-defense. Padmé is a skilled marksman who has fought battle droids and assassins at close range and can remain effective while moving through active combat zones. She is also a capable pilot familiar with Naboo starfighters and diplomatic spacecraft.

Her preferred sidearm during the Clone Wars is the compact ELG-3A blaster pistol. The weapon is easily concealed beneath diplomatic clothing but possesses enough power to destroy combat droids with accurate shots and includes a stun setting for situations where lethal force is unnecessary. Padmé also has access to Naboo security equipment and communications systems through her position as senator. Her diplomatic vessels include Nubian yachts and star skiffs equipped for secure interstellar travel. She generally carries little obvious military equipment because her work requires her to move as a senator first and an armed combatant only when circumstances force the distinction.
