A mysterious man who tends to be overly theatrical. One of Leo's retainers.

Owain, the son of Lissa and bearer of a holy bloodline from Ylisse, eventually departs his war-torn future and travels alongside Severa and Inigo to the world of Fates. There, he assumes a new identity under the name “Odin Dark” and becomes a Dark Mage in service to Prince Leo of Nohr, working alongside fellow retainer Niles. His dramatic flair, already well known, becomes even more pronounced in this new role, as he names not only his weapons but also common objects, attacks, and even movements in combat with exaggerated, grandiose titles.

Before arriving in Nohr, Owain and his companions are approached by the ancient dragon Anankos, who seeks their aid in protecting his child, Corrin, and stopping his own descent into madness. Owain agrees to the task, driven not just by duty, but by the hope of helping bring peace to a world like his own. Anankos alters their appearances, strips their holy brands, and grants them new identities and powers for their role in Valla. During this process, Owain asks if the dead could be restored, a veiled wish to see his parents again, though Anankos denies the possibility. Owain accepts this with mature resignation.

When Lilith reveals that Corrin resides in Nohr rather than Hoshido, Owain tries to resist her with force, only to be wounded. Anankos intervenes and bestows his blood upon the three to save them. Soon after, Owain is transported to Nohr without further instruction. Cut off from Valla and with no means of returning, he continues the mission as best he can, serving Leo faithfully while maintaining his performative persona.

Despite his eccentric demeanor, Owain's theatrics mask deeper qualities: a desire to grow stronger, to protect those around him, and to keep the memory of his lost world alive through his flamboyant rituals. When facing true danger, such as a fight with a bloodthirsty opponent, he sheds the act, revealing his awareness of his own limitations. His supports show that while he remains true to his unique personality, he has matured significantly, more openly acknowledging manipulation, expressing hurt, and demonstrating a profound concern for others. Though too kind-hearted to be a truly ruthless dark mage, Odin continues to pursue strength.

Owain is said to be the most hot-blooded member of the army and the most likely to shout "Level up!".

Appearance: Odin has short, spiky silver hair and light blue eyes. He wears a yellow and red sleeveless high-collared garment that is open at the front, exposing his bare chest and abdomen. Black straps run down from his shoulders to his red belt, which is adorned with a red diamond-shaped buckle. He has black and yellow pants with a diamond pattern and armored black greaves. His arms are partially covered by long, fingerless gloves with gold accents and dark gray sleeves. He wears a yellow cape with a red inner lining and red trim, fastened at the collar and flowing behind him. He carries scrolls and a pouch on his left hip and wears open-toed sandals.

Odin uses a tome to fight using magic. It is called Odin's Grimoire.

He is an infantry unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
