Owner of the Jade Chamber in the skies above Liyue, there are stories abound about Ningguang, with her elegance and mysterious smile. As a Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, not only does she embody law and order, she also represents fortune and wit.

The Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing and owner of the floating Jade Chamber in the skies of Liyue, Ningguang is a mogul who shakes the very foundations of business circles. Even grabbing a few scraps from the documents she shreds from the Jade Chamber will gift one an invaluable fragment of her wisdom, enough to stay a step or two from one's peers.

Ningguang, the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, stands at the pinnacle of Liyue’s commerce, wielding unmatched intelligence, foresight, and authority. She is famed as a lethal negotiator, a woman of striking beauty, and a symbol of success who built the resplendent Jade Chamber, a floating palace of plaustrite that overlooks the city. The Jade Chamber is both her residence and her declaration of power: ever-expanding, extravagant, and beloved by her, second only to Mora itself. Adored by the children of Liyue, admired by merchants, and pursued by suitors, she remains an enigma—warm in manner, but impenetrable in intent.

Her work within the Qixing is conducted with precision. In the Jade Chamber, she gathers intelligence from her confidants, swiftly cutting through walls of reports with decisive judgment. Once her decisions are made, she discards the notes, the fluttering papers signaling impending change to the entire marketplace below. Her “omniscience” is less sorcery than strategy—her informants are none other than the children of Liyue Harbor, who eagerly trade secrets for sweets. Ningguang verifies their tales with other sources, ensuring no detail escapes her grasp. In this way, she maintains control over guilds, smugglers, and opportunists, weaving an invisible net that binds Liyue’s commerce to her will.

For Ningguang, Mora is more than wealth; each coin is proof of victory in a game she relishes. The business world is her battlefield, where she defeats rivals with charm, wit, and calculation, turning their losses into profit for herself and prosperity for Liyue Harbor. She thrives on this endless cycle of acquisition and expansion, answering questions of “why continue” with simple truth: one can never have too much. Yet, her power is rooted not only in money but in law. She safeguards the rules set down since Morax’s time, amending them to suit changing ages. To her, order is the foundation of prosperity. Those who abide are protected, while those who defy—like the free-spirited captain Beidou—face fines and penalties. Though she and Beidou clash constantly, their opposing philosophies coexist in a stalemate born of mutual respect and unyielding will.

Though endlessly courted by merchants, nobles, and even foreign magnates, Ningguang distances herself from romance, seeing no worth in the finite. Her one true love is the infinite: Mora, opportunity, and her Jade Chamber, which she envisions someday casting its shadow across all seven nations. Beyond business, she indulges her taste for fine desserts, mingles at banquets, and even created an elaborate chess game modeled on Liyue itself. Ever-evolving with new rules that only she can fully master, it is less a pastime for others and more a reflection of her own mind—complex, adaptive, and always one step ahead.

Her Vision came to her through pragmatism rather than yearning. Upon encountering a dormant Vision, her first instinct was to auction it, imagining the riches it would bring even as a powerless ornament. As she weighed the business opportunity, the Vision flared to life in her hand. Her attendants celebrated her fortune, but she dismissed it with her characteristic sharpness: “Once broken, considered sold.” To Ningguang, even divine gifts are business transactions, and she remains ever the merchant who turns every circumstance into gain.

Ningguang is the embodiment of Liyue’s ambition—perceptive, ambitious, untouchable. She is as much a symbol as the Jade Chamber itself: elevated above all, yet shaping the fate of every soul in the harbor below.

Appearance: Ningguang is tall. She has fair skin, red eyes, and straight, knee-length, white-beige hair that fades into an ashy color at the ends. Half of Ningguang's hair is tied up into a wide bun resembling a bow. The rest falls into two divided parts. Her bun is accessorized with a black hairpin, and she wears a red tassel decoration atop her head which lays between her eyes. Ningguang wears a white, high-necked sleeveless qipao dress with side slits that reach up to the thigh, unveiling black shorts with diamond-cut patterns, below her left midriff where the Geo Vision resides. Ginkgo and phoenix motifs are embellished throughout her dress, accessories, and detached ruffled sleeves. Her gloves are decorated with copper patterns and claw attachments on the thumb, ring, and pinky fingers that act as Antique Chinese fingernail guards.

Personality: Ningguang is a professional businesswoman, having accumulated her wealth through hard work and perseverance. As the Tianquan, she is known for being highly meticulous in her work and holds a large amount of influence within Liyue.

She is a calculating and ruthless businesswoman guided by the sole aim of making Mora," which stems from her impoverished background. She makes use of a large intelligence network and "pawns" to gain the information she needs, and will only make use of people whose weaknesses she knows.

Despite her cold, business-driven exterior, she has Liyue's best interests at heart. Under her decree in response to a case of water contamination, those who intentionally endanger public health and safety should be "shown no mercy whatsoever." When Osial was reawakened and threatened Liyue Harbor, she put her conflict with the adepti aside and ultimately sacrificed the Jade Chamber, her life's work, to seal it away. Though per usual, she quickly had it rebuilt for her ambitions to have it spread all across the nations of Teyvat. She is also particularly fond of children, both because they give her vital intelligence and she enjoys seeing them smile.

Ningguang also carries a smoking pipe with her.

Ningguang uses a Geo Vision.

Weapon: She uses a Solar Pearl catalyst to launch Geo attacks.

Elemental Skill: Jade Screen: Ningguang creates a Jade Screen out of gold, obsidian and her great opulence, dealing AoE Geo DMG.

Elemental Burst: Starshatter: Gathering a great number of gems, Ningguang scatters them all at once, sending homing projectiles at her opponents that deal massive Geo DMG. If Starshatter is cast when a Jade Screen is nearby, the Jade Screen will fire additional gem projectiles at the same time.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Liyue Harbor: A bountiful harbor that lies in the east of Teyvat. Mountains stand tall and proud alongside the stone forest, that, together with the open plains and lively rivers, make up Liyue's bountiful landscape, which shows its unique beauty through each of the four seasons.

The nation of Liyue is marked by its emphasis on "contracts," Morax's ideal. It is said that people from all seven nations of Teyvat flock to Liyue Harbor, the economic hub of the continent.

The Liyue Qixing is a committee made up of seven merchants and business leaders who govern Liyue, specializing within the commerce and trade sectors. The job of the Qixing is to implement the policies laid out by the Geo Archon Morax and manage the day to day governance of the region of Liyue.

The Millelith is a military force stationed around Liyue to serve as guards, reporting to the Liyue Qixing. Alongside patrolling the Liyue's lands, the Millelith also conduct undercover infiltration against criminal groups to weaken and/or apprehend them.

Mitachurls that continue to grow and survive eventually accumulate an excess of the elemental energy in their area, turning them into Lawachurls. It is not known how long it takes for this growth to occur. Many Hilichurls are also affiliated with the Abyss Order, as the Abyss Mages are able to speak fluent Hilichurlian.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat.

The Adventurers' Guild is an organization that serves as an adventurer-for-hire service for the people and other organizations in the seven nations of Teyvat. The Guild collates all the complex word-of-mouth information it receives and redistributes it in the form of quests and adventures assigned to adventurers. "Ad astra abyssosque!" is the guild's motto. Katheryne is the receptionist for the Adventurers' Guild. Multiple, identical Katherynes exist, all serving as the Guild's receptionists.
