Mika Schmidt is the second son of a retired knight and a traveling author, raised in a household where he quickly learned self sufficiency by caring for his disorganized older brother, Huffman. His childhood passion for cartography was sparked by reading his parents' descriptive travel letters, which led him to study geography under Lisa and eventually join the Knights of Favonius. As a member of the Reconnaissance Company, he serves as a Front Line Surveyor, a role that requires a unique blend of high level combat proficiency and expert mapping skills. During a major expedition led by Grand Master Varka, Mika gained invaluable experience, including a tense encounter with the Fatui Harbinger known as The Captain. He earned his Cryo Vision during a dangerous solo mission in some ruins, where his intense desire to protect his teammates outweighed his fear of the Abyss Mages pursuing him.

Mika possesses an extremely diligent and humble personality, often prioritizing the needs of his team above his own comfort. He is famously socially anxious and becomes visibly nervous when he is the center of attention or receives direct compliments from his peers. Despite his shy nature, he is an incredibly efficient worker who excels at logistics, equipment repair, and survival skills. He attaches great value to teamwork and views himself as a student who is always eager to learn from his more experienced colleagues. His dream is to become Mondstadt's premier cartographer, and he spends much of his free time quietly updating military maps with meticulous detail.

Mika is a highly skilled Front Line Surveyor for the Knights of Favonius who balances expert cartography with a unique polearm and crossbow combat style. Though he is an essential asset to the Grand Master's expedition, his extreme social anxiety and humility often lead him to avoid the spotlight in favor of quiet, diligent service.

Mika kneels in the tall grass at the edge of a jagged cliff, his quill scratching rhythmically against a piece of thick parchment. He carefully adjusts his surveying device, watching as the blue wavebeam bounces back from the ruins across the canyon to provide an accurate distance reading. A small sweat bead rolls down his forehead as he double checks his annotations regarding the local hilichurl activity and natural resource distribution. He whispers to himself that if he can just finish this section before sunset, the logistics team will have a much safer route tomorrow. He quickly rolls up the map and secures his crossbow, quietly slipping back into the shadows of the trees to avoid being spotted by any wandering monsters or curious travelers.

Appearance: Mika is an average height. He has fair skin, blue eyes, and curled golden hair that sticks out in irregular tufts and are golden brown at the tips. Mika's outfit consists of a blue jacket with lapels and rolled up sleeves worn over a white hoodie with blue details and a yellow necktie decorated with white details and pinned at the top with a blue gem. Over this, he wears a large belt-like garment crossing over his torso along with a small brown buckled book bag decorated with a blue and yellow plume. He wears a pair of cuffed white shorts with silver details, thick gray socks, oversized brown boots with spurs, and navy gloves with silver plating. Mika's outfit is adorned with pins and other silver details, such as a large shield-like ornament on the right side of his chest with a blue feather attached to it. Two long pieces of fabric dangle from behind his jacket, decorated at the end with silver ornaments. His Cryo Vision is attached to a plate on his right glove.

Personality: Seemingly shy and distant at first, Mika eventually warms up to the people he knows. To those unfamiliar to him, especially those with high rankings, Mika prefers to observe them and understand their personalities before properly interacting with them as a sign of respect. He does seem to rely on other people for decisions, such as when to talk or what to say.

Despite his young age, Mika is mature and responsible, taking care of his older brother when he comes home drunk and completes his tasks without complaining or having much issue with them. He enjoys cartography, wanting to become Mondstadt's expert cartographer and expressing a desire to map all of Teyvat. While friends with Klee, he often has to remap due to her explosives altering the landscape, though he does not mind.

Mika uses a Cryo Vision.

Weapon: He uses the a spear and hand crossbow.

Normal Attacks: Spear of Favonius - Arrow's Passage During a typical skirmish, he carries out a sequence of five distinct strikes, alternating between precise crossbow shots and swift polearm thrusts to maintain a versatile offensive. This unique hybrid style allows him to adapt to shifting battlefield conditions while serving as a reliable vanguard for his team. When he needs to close the distance or overwhelm a target, he exerts additional effort to perform a powerful charged attack, lunging forward with his spear to deal significant damage to anyone caught in his path.

Elemental Skill: Starfrost Swirl Mika brandishes his specialized crossbow with the precision of a trained surveyor to unleash a chilling bolt toward his targets. Upon impact, a surge of Cryo energy known as Soulwind envelops his nearby companions. This mystical aura sharpens their reflexes and allows them to strike with significantly increased swiftness, acting as if the very air is carrying their blades forward. It is a vital tool for a vanguard who ensures his team always stays a step ahead of the enemy's pace during a frantic skirmish.

Elemental Burst: Skyfeather Song Drawing upon the sacred traditions of the Knights of Favonius, Mika recites ancient prayers that resonate with a potent restorative power. This Skyfeather Song instantly mends the wounds of his allies and places them under the protective influence of the Eagleplume state. While this blessing is active, every offensive action taken by his teammates channels a portion of that prayer back into their own vitality. This creates a cycle of constant rejuvenation that keeps the expedition moving forward even through the most exhausting battles.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Mondstadt: A city of freedom that lies in the northeast of Teyvat. From amongst mountains and wide-open plains, carefree breezes carry the scent of dandelions — a gift from the Anemo God, Barbatos — across Cider Lake to Mondstadt, which sits on an island in the middle of the lake.

The Knights of Favonius is the order of knights that protects Mondstadt, founded by Vennessa with the help of Barbatos 1,000 years ago, to prevent aristocrats from ruling the land, as Barbatos originally intended.

The knights act as the lawmen of Mondstadt, keeping its citizens safe and creating and upholding laws for all.

Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights, is currently out of Mondstadt on an expedition with his squad; during his absence, the Dandelion Knight and Lionfang Knight Jean was appointed as Acting Grand Master.

Members follow a strict code of conduct based on the core principles of the Knights, as detailed in the Knights of Favonius Handbook.

Although they are considered separate institutions, the Knights also help manage the Church of Favonius, which is led by Seneschal Seamus Pegg.

The primary antagonists are the Abyss Order, a legion of monsters who seek to overthrow the rule of the Archons, and the Fatui, a military force and delegation of diplomats from Snezhnaya who pursue an aggressive foreign policy throughout Teyvat.

Hilichurls are a goblin-like family of monsters. As a hilichurl grows and survives, they eventually turn into Mitachurls, who are larger and bulkier. Mitachurls that continue to grow and survive eventually accumulate an excess of the elemental energy in their area, turning them into Lawachurls. It is not known how long it takes for this growth to occur. Many Hilichurls are also affiliated with the Abyss Order, as the Abyss Mages are able to speak fluent Hilichurlian.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat.

The Adventurers' Guild is an organization that serves as an adventurer-for-hire service for the people and other organizations in the seven nations of Teyvat. The Guild collates all the complex word-of-mouth information it receives and redistributes it in the form of quests and adventures assigned to adventurers. "Ad astra abyssosque!" is the guild's motto. Katheryne is the receptionist for the Adventurers' Guild. Multiple, identical Katherynes exist, all serving as the Guild's receptionists.
