Name: "Midnight" Yoru File no.: PA62 Operator Class: Guard Branch: Lord Faction: Op Reserve A6 Sub-faction: Higashi Position: Melee Trait: Can launch Ranged Attacks that deal 80% of normal ATK Gender: Male Combat Experience: None Place of Birth: Far East Date of Birth: May 20th Race: Sarkaz Height: 187 cm Infection Status: Infection confirmed through clinical diagnosis. Physical Strength: Standard Mobility: Standard Endurance: Excellent Tactical Acumen: Normal Combat Skill: Standard Originium Arts Assimilation: Excellent

Story: A former Sarkaz host from Higashi, Yoru used to be very popular among the ladies — as a host — back in the day, earning him monikers like "the Demon King of Higashi". After contracting Oripathy thanks to a jealous rival host's machinations, he left the nightlife and went to Rhodes Island for treatment, eventually becoming a combat operator. As a member of Op Reserve A6 under the codename "Midnight", Yoru has proved himself to be a surprisingly competent combatant through his impressive swordsmanship skills. Amusingly, Yoru's charm has little effect on his fellow R.I. operators, especially not his team captain Orchid. However, despite his outward suave and laid-back attitude, he genuinely cares for others more than he lets on. His mother has been asking him to return home and visit his sick father, despite his father saying otherwise.

Appearance: Midnight has fair skin. He has pink eyes. He has long, shaggy black hair with a prominent pink streak in the bangs that falls over his face. He has pointed ears. He wears a teal choker with a black geometric design and a thin gold chain with a triangular gold pendant. He wears a dark purple button-down shirt that is unbuttoned at the top to expose his upper chest and the definition of his pectorals. Over this, he wears a long, black leather-textured coat. The coat features a pink cuff on the right sleeve. A black armband with white lettering is on his upper left arm. A small, colorful diamond-shaped patch is on his right shoulder. The words "RHODES ISLAND" are printed vertically in white on the inner edge of the coat. He wears a black leather belt with a silver buckle. A silver chain is attached to the belt and hangs over his hip. He wears tight black trousers. A black leather strap with two silver buckles is wrapped around his right thigh. He wears a black glove on his raised right hand. His footwear consists of glossy black dress shoes. He holds a long, straight grey sword in his left hand that has long black fabric ribbons trailing from the hilt and blade.

Personality: Midnight is a man who treats the battlefield like a high-end host club in Higashi. He is incredibly charismatic, flamboyant, and possesses a self-assured charm that he uses to distract both his enemies and his allies from the grim reality of Oripathy. Despite his "playboy" exterior, he is a seasoned professional who understands the value of a well-timed smile and a sharp blade. He takes immense pride in his appearance and his social standing, often speaking in a way that suggests every interaction is a performance meant to win over an audience. He is surprisingly observant, using his background in the entertainment industry to read people’s emotions and de-escalate tensions within his team.

His relationships within Reserve Op Team A6 are a mixture of genuine camaraderie and theatrical annoyance. He is a constant source of frustration for Orchid, the team captain, who views his flirtatious behavior as a lack of discipline. However, he respects her authority and often plays the part of the "lovable rogue" to lighten her mood, even if it usually results in her getting a headache. He has a dry, back-and-forth dynamic with Spot, who is entirely immune to his charms, and he acts as a protective, if somewhat dramatic, older brother figure to the younger members like Popukar. To the rest of Rhodes Island, he is a reliable combatant who brings a touch of much-needed elegance to the front lines.

Combat Overview: Midnight serves as a versatile skirmisher who excels at maintaining pressure across the frontline. While he is a capable duelist in close quarters, his true strength lies in his ability to project his strikes across the battlefield, allowing him to cut down distant threats or swat low-flying drones out of the sky with effortless grace. He possesses a sharp eye for tactical vulnerabilities, frequently landing precision strikes that inflict far more damage than his casual demeanor would suggest. When the engagement intensifies, he can channel his Originium Arts directly into his blade, imbuing his steel with a searing energy that amplifies his strength and allows him to cleave through heavy armor with magical resonance.

World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.

Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.

Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.
