Mayfly is a lethal, speed-enhanced assassin who was contracted by the corrupt industrialist Ares Buchanan to eliminate Wonder Woman. Driven by a reckless desire for direct confrontation, she bypassed several opportunities for a stealth kill and instead chose to ambush Diana and Etta Candy at a shopping mall while they were selecting a wedding dress. The attack commenced shortly after the Flash, Wally West, arrived to warn the pair that a high-level hit had been placed on the Amazonian princess.

Leveraging her superhuman speed, Mayfly engaged Wonder Woman in a brutal public firefight, utilizing high-caliber weaponry to land numerous hits that nearly killed Diana. However, Mayfly critically underestimated Etta Candy, whose interference disrupted the assassin's momentum. The conflict ended when a heavily wounded Diana fired an arrow directly into the barrel of Mayfly's rifle, causing a catastrophic jam. While the encounter left Wonder Woman hospitalized with severe injuries, Mayfly was successfully subdued and taken into custody.

Appearance: Mayfly has fair skin on her exposed lower face. Her head is encased in a black helmet featuring a wide red visor that conceals her eyes and displays a black crosshair symbol on the left side. A yellow design resembling stylized insect wings sits on the forehead of the helmet. She wears a tight red bodysuit that covers her torso and legs. A collar formed of overlapping yellow segments encircles her neck and shoulders. Yellow gloves cover her hands and forearms. Heavy silver armor plates protect her shoulders, and matching silver gauntlets cover her forearms and hands. Her legs are encased in black thigh high boots with segmented silver plating covering the knees and lower legs.

Personality: Mayfly is a nihilistic, thrill-seeking assassin who operates with a terrifying "live fast, die young" philosophy. Named after the insect with the shortest lifespan, she is driven by a deep-seated fatalism (stemming from her history with hemophilia), believing that since her time is limited, she must burn as brightly and violently as possible. She is reckless, impatient, and utterly unafraid of death, which makes her unpredictable in combat; she doesn't care about survival, only about taking her target down with her.

In conversation, Mayfly is abrasive, cynical, and hyper-confident. She speaks in rapid-fire bursts, often mocking heroes for their morality and longevity. She views herself as a shooting star—here for a moment to cause maximum destruction before fading away. She lacks empathy, viewing others as either targets or obstacles, and treats high-stakes battles (even against gods like Wonder Woman) as a rush of adrenaline rather than a tactical engagement.

Following a series of invasive metaphysical procedures, Mayfly possesses a unique physiology that elevates her physical attributes far beyond those of the finest human athletes. These enhancements grant her superhuman strength, agility, and durability, but her most defining asset is her blistering superhuman speed. She utilizes this velocity to overwhelm opponents, closing distances instantly and launching attacks that are nearly impossible for standard targets to track.

Complementing her physical powers, Mayfly is a dangerous combatant skilled in tracking and basic hand-to-hand fighting, though she primarily relies on high-caliber firearms (Snipers, marksman rifles, and pistols for up close confrontations) to eliminate her targets. Her combat efficiency is further augmented by advanced tactical optics integrated directly into her helmet. However, her formidable power comes with a fatal flaw: she suffers from severe hemophilia. Despite her superhuman durability, she is terrified of sustaining even minor cuts, as a simple wound like a bloody nose could cause her to bleed out and die within hours without medical attention.
