Lynette

Lynette is a quiet Fontainian magician’s assistant who works beside her twin brother Lyney. After their parents died, the two survived on the streets, where hardship taught Lynette to watch people closely and notice danger before it reached them. She and Lyney learned magic from Cesar, and that skill eventually became both their livelihood and their cover. After Arlecchino saved Lynette from an abusive noble, she and Lyney found a new home in the House of the Hearth, where Lynette came to serve as one of its silent observers.

In Fontaine, Lynette remains mostly in Lyney’s shadow by choice, helping his performances succeed while quietly gathering useful information from the people around them. She speaks little, avoids attention, and often lets Lyney handle the public side of their work, but she is not passive. Her sharp observation, loyalty to her family, and role within the Hotel Bouffes d'ete make her far more important than most audiences realize.

Appearance: Lynette is a young woman of average height with violet eyes, pale skin, and ash blonde hair tied into a low, thin ponytail which extends down her back, curling at the ends of her ponytail. She has blunt bangs swept to her left, and a short braid along the right side of her head, and two short, locks of hair which frame her face, curling inwards towards her chin. Additionally, she has ash, with a cream color at the tips of her cat-like ears, and a cat's tail of the same color. She also has a small, dark brown star-shaped mark on her left cheek, mirroring her brother's teardrop mark on his opposite cheek.

Lynette wears a short dark teal and black-colored, cape over her right shoulder attached to her clothes with a teal bow in front. She wears white cuff sleeves with two, gold, diamond-shaped buttons on each sleeve, and on the middle of the outsiding of her collar, attached to a white collar laced with dark brown lacing cord crossing over each-other in the back, lacing the white cuff-sleeves, folded back, and collar together, over a black, semi-backless, knotted, leotard, on the sides are knotted, with a "v" shaped, cut-out, and her the sides of the hips is sheer and laced over each-other with the same lacing-cord on each side, her attached to a short black ruffled skirt, with dark teal at the ends. Lynette also wears black gloves with white over the middle of the gloves, blackish-dark-brown, translucent tights, and black, calf-high, low-heeled boots with black lace and a singular black-garter at the left side of her left lower-calf, attached to her boot. Over the leotard is dark-brown, shiny, leather straps stretching from the front, at the top to the bottom her leotard to the bottom of the back-cutout and in the front has a sliver buckle in the front underneath her collar, and is in the shape of a small heart. On the upper-part of her arms, just about, below her lower shoulder-blades, is dark-brown, more shiny, leather, straps, but with a sliver buckle, on each sleeve. Her sleeves are detailed with thorn-like lining, and straight, lined, on her sleeves. On-top of her skirt are black, leather-straps connected through-out her skirt Her hair is tied with a large dark teal-checkered design bow and some of the checkered patterns in a row are light teal, with her Ousia-aligned Anemo Vision being in the middle of the bow.

Personality: Lynette is quiet, reserved, and difficult to read, often letting Lyney handle conversation while she watches from the side. She is not emotionless, but she keeps her reactions subdued and prefers practical action over long explanations. Her calm manner makes her seem distant, though she is sharp, observant, and highly reliable as Lyney’s assistant during their magic performances.

Her closest bond is with Lyney, her younger twin brother, who is far more outwardly charming while she acts as his steady support. She is also Freminet’s adoptive older sister, giving the trio a quiet family dynamic within the House of the Hearth. Lynette respects Arlecchino as “Father,” especially because Arlecchino saved her from an abusive noble, though her loyalty to the House also places her in Fontaine’s hidden intelligence network.

Lynette uses an Anemo Vision.

Weapon: She uses a shortsword.

Lynette fights with quick sword strikes and evasive movement, using speed and misdirection instead of brute force. She can flick her mantle into an Anemo-charged thrust that strikes directly into an enemy, restoring some of her strength at first but draining her afterward. When she draws the attack out, she moves like a shadow, marks a target, and then flashes toward them before delivering the thrust. Her strongest trick summons a giant Bogglecat Box that pulls enemy attention, releases waves of Anemo, and can absorb nearby elemental power to fire matching elemental shots.
