Lt. Surge & Electrode

This cautious Electric-type Gym Leader sets a lot of traps in his Gym. He excels at paralyzing his opponents in battle.

Appearance: Lt. Surge resembles an adult with spiked blond hair and light skin. Lt. Surge wears a sleeveless red shirt and camouflage pants. He has black boots, and also wears a dog tag. Lt. Surge's build is that of a large, muscular man, having tall stature and a very muscular body.

Personality Lt. Surge is serious and always flared up. He appreciates challengers who are persistent.

Lt. Surge is the Gym Leader of Vermilion City's gym in the Kanto region.

Partner Pokémon: Electrode.

Surge's electrode is one of the Pokémon he used in war times before becoming a gym leader in Kanto. It evolved from a Voltorb. He likes to call it "soldier".

Electrode's appearance: Electrode is a round Pokémon resembling an upside-down Poké Ball with a mouth and eyes. Its top half is white, while its lower half is red.

Electrode eats electricity in the atmosphere. On days when lightning strikes, you can see this Pokémon exploding all over the place from eating too much electricity.

Electrode knows Eerie Impulse, Thunderbolt, and Charge Beam.

Eerie Impulse: Electrode's body generates an eerie impulse. Exposing the target to it harshly lowers the target's Sp. Atk stat.

Thunderbolt: Electrode releases a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body at the opponent.

Charge Beam: Electrode forms an orb of yellow electricity in front of its mouth and it fires a beam of yellow electricity from the orb at the opponent.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles.

At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon.

Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island.

The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
