Kul Teska

A gifted Skakoan scientist from Skako, Kul Teska once worked for the Techno Union, specializing in cybernetics and advanced weapons research. A catastrophic pressure-suit accident left his body permanently damaged, driving him away from the Union and into increasingly private experiments. Teska rebuilt the very suit that had failed him into a heavily armed cybernetic shell, then began working as a mercenary to finance research into gravity manipulation and the construction of a gravitic polarization beam powerful enough to collapse a star.

Count Dooku eventually recognized the military potential of Teska’s work and brought him into Separatist service during the Clone Wars. Operating from a laboratory on Behpour in the Naboo system, Teska completed the weapon while crucial Gravitic Cores were transported to him. His campaign brought him into direct conflict with Republic forces on Juma 9 and later on Ryloth, where Jedi including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano repeatedly interfered with his attempts to secure the components necessary for the weapon.

Teska ultimately returned to Behpour and prepared the gravitic polarization beam for use against the Naboo system’s star, intending to unleash destruction on a scale far beyond a conventional military strike. Republic forces attacked his installation while Anakin and Ahsoka confronted Teska inside the complex, forcing their way through his defenses as the weapon approached activation. His project turned Behpour into the final battleground for the research he had pursued since leaving the Techno Union, with the Republic fighting to prevent his gravity technology from annihilating an entire system.

Appearance: Kul Teska is a heavily-armored, cybernetically-enhanced Skakoan with a large, mechanical body. His armor is predominantly metallic brown with green highlights and glowing neon-green energy coursing through various parts of his suit, particularly in the chest, limbs, and back. He has a broad, reinforced torso with exposed energy conduits and power cells around his midsection. his right arm ends in a large, multi-pronged clamp-like device with a gatling blaster. His legs are bulky and angular, designed for heavy support and mobility, with piston-like joints and pointed feet.

Personality: Teska is brilliant, vindictive, impatient, and intensely proud of his own inventions. His disfigurement and departure from the Techno Union hardened an already abrasive temperament, while his success as a mercenary reinforced his belief that intelligence and firepower could place him beyond ordinary rivals. He openly enjoys intimidating opponents, mocks Jedi confidence in the Force, and regards mass casualties as acceptable whenever they advance his work or demonstrate the superiority of his technology.

Count Dooku becomes Teska’s principal employer, supplying him with facilities and Separatist support once his gravity research proves useful to the Confederacy. Cad Bane is a professional rival whose reputation competes with Teska’s own, and Teska responds aggressively when Bane interferes with the Gravitic Core. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano become his principal Jedi adversaries during the struggle over his weapon, while Republic clone forces repeatedly face the droids and explosives supporting his operations. Teska shows particular contempt for Anakin and Ahsoka during their confrontations, initially dismissing their attempts to stop him until their tactics begin overcoming his defenses.

Teska is an exceptional cyberneticist, engineer, and weapons designer, capable of rebuilding his own life-support system into a combat platform and developing gravity technology with stellar-scale destructive potential. His greatest creation is the Gravitic Polarization Beam, powered through specialized Gravitic Cores and designed to manipulate gravitational forces strongly enough to collapse a star.

His customized enhanced Skakoan pressure suit provides life support while functioning as a mobile arsenal. Its weapons include a rotary quad blaster cannon, shoulder-mounted rocket launchers, concealed blasters, a chest-mounted laser, and a grappling hook, while integrated hover jets allow sustained flight. A built-in energy shield protects him from incoming attacks, and the suit can release a powerful shockwave to throw nearby enemies away from him.

Teska also makes extensive use of explosives, portable energy-field generators, droids, and battlefield traps rather than relying entirely on his suit. His combination of scientific expertise and combat engineering allows him to repair damaged systems during a fight, improvise around mechanical failures, and confront Jedi directly despite lacking Force abilities.
