Korg is a Kronan who was among the Stone Men that once fought Thor on Earth. Afterward, he ended up on Sakaar, where he was enslaved by the Red King through an obedience disk and forced into gladiatorial combat. During that time, he was made to kill his own brother Margus against his will, a trauma that stayed with him. When Hulk was exiled to Sakaar, Korg became one of the gladiators who fought beside him and joined the Warbound, a group of former captives bonded through survival in the arena.
Korg later helped Hulk and the Warbound rebel against the Red King after the Silver Surfer destroyed the obedience disks controlling the slaves. After Sakaar was devastated, Korg escaped with Hulk and the surviving Warbound and followed him to Earth during the conflict known as World War Hulk. When Miek’s role in Sakaar’s destruction was revealed, Korg and the others surrendered to S.H.I.E.L.D., though they later escaped during the chaos in Manhattan. Afterward, Korg remained a recurring ally connected to Hulk, the Warbound, and other heroes.
Appearance: Korg has golden-tan rocky skin and a massive, heavily muscular build with broad shoulders, thick arms, a wide chest, and huge stone fists. His entire body is made of uneven rock plates, with cracked polygonal segments covering his head, face, torso, arms, hands, and legs. His head is bald and blocky, with a heavy brow, deep-set dark eyes, a broad flat nose, and a wide mouth with squared teeth. His shoulders are covered by large silver metal armor plates with layered rectangular panels, worn edges, and dark seams. Brown leather straps cross over his chest and shoulders, connecting to the armor and a belt around his waist. A square metal buckle sits at the center of the chest strap, and additional rectangular metal pieces line the belt. His arms are extremely thick and stone-textured, with oversized hands formed from chunky rock segments. His lower body continues the same golden stone pattern, with large cracked thighs and heavy rock-like knees.
Personality: Korg is a blunt, practical, and good-natured Kronan who is much calmer and more thoughtful than his massive stone body suggests. He is not especially dramatic or glory-seeking, and he often approaches danger with dry honesty and a grounded sense of survival. As a former gladiator and member of the Warbound, he understands violence and hardship, but he is also loyal, steady, and capable of compassion toward people who have suffered under captivity or war.
His most important relationships are with the Hulk and the Warbound, the group of gladiators who became bonded through their shared survival on Sakaar. He serves beside figures such as Miek, Hiroim, Elloe Kaifi, No-Name, and the Brood, treating them as comrades rather than disposable allies. Hiroim is especially important to Korg, with later stories revealing a romantic bond between them. He also has a major connection to Thor, since Korg was later identified as one of the Kronans who fought Thor early in his heroic career.
Korg has the natural traits of a Kronan, giving him superhuman strength, durability, stamina, and resistance to extreme conditions. His body is made of dense rock-like material, making him highly resistant to bullets, blunt force, heat, and pressure, though powerful enough attacks can still break or damage his stone form. He is also an experienced gladiator and close-quarters fighter, trained through survival in Sakaar’s arena and later battles with the Warbound.
His usual equipment is simple compared to many heroes. Korg relies mostly on his body, strength, and fighting experience, though he has used gladiator weapons such as clubs, blades, and arena armor when needed. His main battlefield value is as a heavy melee combatant who can absorb punishment, break through enemies, and protect weaker allies through raw durability.

The automated defense turrets on the perimeter fence were sparking wildly, their targeting sensors completely scrambled by the EMP blast that had hit the valley an hour ago. Korg stepped through the breached gate and immediately raised his heavy stone forearm to deflect a high-velocity plasma bolt from a rogue scavenger drone. The impact left a faint white scorch mark on his golden rock plates, but he didn't even blink as he closed the distance between himself and the mechanical vanguard. He swung his massive right fist in a wide horizontal arc that shattered the drone's chassis into a dozen smoking pieces.
"These automated units always have a slight delay in their tracking systems when they try to calculate a target of my size," he said. He turned around to face the main structure where the manual security override panel was located near the armory door. He didn't want to spend the entire night trading shots with the local militia when he just needed to secure a fresh supply of fuel cells for the transport ship.

Korg stood in the arena tunnel on Sakaar while the crowd shook the walls above him. The handlers had already locked the obedience disk in place, and the weapon rack in front of him held cracked clubs, dull blades, and shields with old blood in the seams. He picked up a heavy stone maul, tested the weight once, and looked toward the gate. “This one will do.”
The gate opened, and a chained beast charged before the announcer finished speaking. Korg took the first hit against his shoulder, drove one foot into the sand, and shoved back hard enough to break one of the creature’s horn plates.
"Korg of Krona, son of O-Korg and Ahna. Brother-killer of Margus."
