Wallace “Ace” West is the son of Daniel West and the nephew of Iris West. He begins as a troubled teenager in Central City, carrying anger over his family situation and often clashing with authority before Barry Allen becomes a steady presence in his life. After being exposed to Speed Force energy, Wallace gains super-speed and eventually takes the name Kid Flash under Barry’s guidance. His father’s identity as the third Reverse-Flash leaves a difficult shadow over him, but Wallace chooses to become a hero instead of following Daniel’s path.

As Kid Flash, Wallace trains with Barry and becomes part of the Flash Family while learning that speed is not enough without control. He later joins the Teen Titans, where his independence and frustration sometimes put him at odds with other young heroes, especially when he feels judged or pushed aside. His time with Deathstroke’s Defiance pulls him into a harsher kind of fieldwork, but Wallace eventually returns to the speedster world and continues building his place beside other runners. He later works closely with Avery Ho, with the two becoming a Speed Force pair who protect others from threats tied to their shared power.

Appearance: Kid Flash has deep brown skin and a lean muscular athletic build with defined arms, a fitted waist, and strong legs. He has very short black hair with a sharp shaved lightning-shaped detail, brown eyes, and a yellow mask covering the area around his eyes and upper cheeks. He wears a tight yellow-and-red speedster suit with a white circular chest emblem marked by a red lightning bolt, red lower-body sections, and red gauntlet-like sleeve pieces wrapping the forearms.

His suit has sculpted muscle definition across the chest, shoulders, arms, abdomen, and thighs, with black seam lines and angular paneling along the torso and limbs. Red lightning-shaped ear pieces sit along the sides of his head, and white-red lightning energy trails around his body.

Personality: Wallace “Ace” West is stubborn, reactive, and sensitive to being judged because much of his early life is marked by anger over his family situation. As Kid Flash, he wants to be taken seriously instead of treated like a sidekick who only exists under Barry Allen’s shadow. He can push back against authority when he thinks people are controlling him, but he also has a strong heroic core and keeps choosing the Flash legacy despite the damage left by his father, Daniel West.

Barry Allen becomes Wallace’s main mentor after his powers awaken, while Iris West is his aunt and one of his strongest family ties. Daniel West’s history as Reverse-Flash weighs heavily on Wallace because it gives him a legacy he actively rejects. His connection to the Teen Titans gives him a place among young heroes outside Central City, though he does not always fit smoothly into team life. Avery Ho later becomes one of his closest speedster partners, and their bond grows through shared Speed Force missions rather than ordinary training under Barry.

Kid Flash draws his power from the Speed Force, letting Wallace West run at extreme speed, react faster than normal perception, and survive the physical stress of high-velocity movement through a protective Speed Force aura. He can phase through solid matter by vibrating his body, heal faster than an ordinary person, and use his speed to build force through motion rather than raw size.

Wallace can also generate Speed Force lightning, which he uses as more than a side effect of running. He has enough control over that energy to use it offensively, and he has even used it to restart Barry Allen’s heart. Outside his powers, Wallace’s training under Barry makes him a capable young field hero, though his greatest weakness is still emotional control when pressure pushes him into acting too fast.
