The Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Keqing has much to say about Rex Lapis' unilateral approach to policymaking in Liyue — but in truth, gods admire skeptics such as her quite a lot. She firmly believes that humanity's future should be determined by humans themselves, and that they can even do better than the archons and adepti have done for them. In order to prove this, she works harder than anyone else. (More Genshin Impact Characters in profile)

As the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, she is someone who seeks her own answers instead of idly letting chaos run amok in Liyue. She chooses her own path with her own power and ability, instead of letting the gods determine her fate.

Keqing, the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, is a woman of relentless drive and uncompromising ideals. Unlike most who accept Rex Lapis’ millennia of guidance without question, she challenges the notion that Liyue should forever depend on a god’s hand. To her, Liyue’s prosperity resembles a sandcastle on the shore—magnificent, yet vulnerable to the incoming tide. She believes humanity must one day chart its own course, and she shoulders that responsibility with unmatched diligence. While others see her skepticism as irreverence, Rex Lapis himself admired her courage, laughing warmly when she questioned him during the Rite of Descension.

Born to a prestigious family, Keqing quickly understood how deeply Liyue’s economy and people tied their fates to Rex Lapis’ decrees. Determined not to let her nation stagnate, she acts decisively, often taking matters into her own hands. She memorized Liyue’s geography firsthand, worked as a common laborer, waiter, and investigator to better understand her people’s struggles, and even exposed corruption while blending among ordinary citizens. For Keqing, leadership requires action and experience, not just words or titles. Her tireless pace, however, often alienates those who cannot keep up. Assistants rarely last long under her, as her expectations are nearly impossible, though she has softened somewhat upon realizing that inefficiency includes losing good people to overwork.

Her resolve hardened after Rex Lapis’ departure, when the Qixing had to assume full responsibility for Liyue’s governance. Though prepared for this day, she quickly realized the scale of the task—land reform alone tested her limits. Frustrated, she recognized that her rejection of Rex Lapis was never about defiance but about ensuring humanity could one day match such strength. Gradually, she came to respect the Archon’s work and understood his laughter at her bold words as acknowledgment of her vision for the future. Now, when uncertainty strikes, she pauses to ask herself what Rex Lapis might do, even as she remains committed to her human path forward.

Despite her stern, decisive nature, Keqing has lighter sides. She secretly enjoys shopping trips with friends, and even collects little Rex Lapis figurines in private—though she insists this is for “introspection.” Her practicality also shines in survival: she uses her simple hairpin, charged with Electro, as a weapon, tool, and alarm system during her journeys into Liyue’s wilds. To her, its weathered form is a mark of pride, proof of resilience and utility.

Keqing’s relationship with her Vision is equally complex. She once viewed it as an insult from the gods, believing it stole credit for what her hard work had earned. She tried countless times to destroy it—by fire, stone, and even throwing it from the Jade Chamber—but it endured. Resigned, she eventually accepted it as a tool, recognizing that its value lies not in divine favor but in how she uses it. Now, she wields it confidently, embodying her creed: the source of power matters far less than the character of its wielder.

Keqing remains the symbol of humanity’s determination in Liyue—pragmatic, tireless, and unafraid to challenge even the divine. To her, the future belongs not to gods but to mortals willing to build it with their own hands.

Appearance: Keqing is an average. She has fair skin, amethyst eyes with oval-shaped pupils backed by a shape resembling her stiletto, and waist-length purple hair that turns into silver-purple at the ends. Keqing's hair is tied into waist-length twin-tails, topped by small odango-style buns resembling horns. There is also a small braid running along the side of her bangs. Keqing wears a pale lavender top with a high violet collar and ruffled dark blue skirt, layered under a deep violet overcoat, engraved with xiangyun and peacock motifs. On her legs, she wears translucent dark tights with gold ornaments: on her left thigh and just below her right knee. The opening of her overcoat is marked by a golden ornament, with white flowers and purple and gold-accented feathers attached. The pattern of the feathers resembles the ones on the dangling backs of her detached long sleeves. In addition, she wears a golden hairpin, a pair of drop earrings, a tasseled choker, and dark gloves with lavender trim.

Personality: The Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, Keqing. She is a workaholic and is subject to pressure even at her young age. One might attribute her to perfectionism when pertaining to work, causing many of their employees to resign but in reality, she has a strong sense of responsibility and tenaciousness inherited from her grandfather.

Keqing, unlike most of Liyue, is a great skeptic. She believes that humans should deal with their own problems but it all changed when the Lord of Geo retired from his duties, passing it on to the Qixing. She gained a new respect towards Rex Lapis himself, realizing the magnitude of his work to govern Liyue. She was also a skeptic of Visions, viewing it as both challenge and insult and once tried to destroy it, all of her attempts failing. She'd then realized the various uses of her Vision and learned to appreciate them.

Shopping is a favorite past time of the Yuheng, often spending her free time with her friends in this sort of activity. Keqing may be an uptight and intimidating character, but she respects and cares for each of her companions close to her. It's only because of her outward image that she's unable to express how she truly feels.

Weapon: She uses the Royal Longsword.

Keqing uses an Electro Vision.

Abilities: Stellar Restoration: Hurls a Lightning Stiletto that annihilates her opponents like the swift thunder. When the Stiletto hits its target, it deals Electro DMG to opponents in a small AoE, and places a Stiletto Mark on the spot hit. Keqing can teleport to these marks.

Elemental Burst: Starward Sword: Keqing unleashes the power of lightning, dealing Electro DMG in an AOE. She then blends into the shadow of her blade, striking a series of thunderclap-blows to nearby opponents simultaneously that deal multiple instances of Electro DMG.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.
