Real name: Kayle Alias(es): The Righteous, The Protector, Bringer of Justice, The Winged Protector, Winged Protector of Demacia, Defender of the Realm Species: Human (Magically Altered; Aspect Host Candidate) Age: 1008-1011 years old Place of origin: Mount Targon (Ancient Times) Current residence: Mount Targon (No Fixed Abode)
Kayle was born near Mount Targon during the devastation of the Rune Wars alongside her twin sister Morgana. Their mother, Mihira, ascended Mount Targon while carrying them and became the mortal vessel of the Aspect of Justice. Their father Kilam eventually fled the region with the twins and joined the growing settlements that would become Demacia. Kayle and Morgana grew up hearing stories of their absent mother and the divine purpose she had embraced. When a celestial sword descended from the heavens and broke into two pieces before them, Kayle immediately claimed one half. Divine wings erupted from her back, confirming that both sisters had inherited a portion of their mother’s celestial power.
Kayle embraced that inheritance wholeheartedly. She became one of Demacia’s great protectors and dedicated herself to enforcing order against criminals, raiders, and those who threatened the young nation. Morgana fought beside her but increasingly disagreed with Kayle’s uncompromising approach. Kayle believed justice required firm laws and consequences applied without favoritism, while Morgana placed greater importance on understanding guilt, suffering, and the possibility of redemption. Their differences eventually became impossible to contain. When followers acting in Kayle’s name attempted to arrest Morgana, the sisters confronted each other directly and their celestial powers devastated the surrounding city. Their father Kilam was caught in the destruction and died in Morgana’s arms.
Kayle regarded the catastrophe as proof that mortal emotion interfered with true justice. She rejected more of her human attachments and departed Demacia, eventually returning toward Mount Targon in pursuit of greater celestial understanding and the legacy of Mihira. Over generations she passed into legend as a winged judge whose fiery swords punished the guilty. Though absent from Demacia, her image and ideals remained deeply connected to the nation’s traditions of law and judgment. Kayle continues seeking a state in which personal desire and mortal weakness can no longer interfere with what she considers absolute justice.
Appearance: Kayle is fully covered with no visible skin and has a tall athletic feminine build with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs. Her head is enclosed by an ivory-white helmet with a sharply tapered faceplate, narrow red slits across the eye area, and a long gold crest rising from the crown. Gold trim runs along the helmet’s edges and central ridge.
She wears fitted ivory-white armor over a deep purple bodysuit. Sculpted white plates cover her chest, shoulders, upper arms, hips, thighs, and lower legs, while purple material remains visible through the center of her torso and between larger armor sections. Gold armor frames the shoulders, forearms, hips, and outer thighs in sweeping pointed shapes. Additional gold accents form angular patterns across the chest and waist.
Her forearms are protected by long gold-edged bracers with purple inset sections. The leg armor is sleek and segmented with pointed knee and shin plates, ending in narrow armored boots with gold tips. Large feathered wings extend from her back with pale blue-white feathers that carry a faint lavender tint toward the inner sections and edges.
She carries an oversized sword with a long glowing cyan blade. The weapon has a broad gold guard with sharp angular extensions and a dark central grip.
Personality: Kayle is disciplined, severe, and uncompromising in her understanding of justice. She believes laws lose their meaning when punishment changes according to sympathy or personal attachment. Her celestial inheritance has gradually strengthened her conviction that emotion can corrupt otherwise righteous judgment. Kayle does not consider herself cruel and genuinely believes the order she imposes protects innocent people from those who would exploit mercy. This certainty can make her frighteningly inflexible because once she has judged someone guilty, she has little patience for excuses intended to lessen responsibility.
Morgana is Kayle’s twin sister and the person most closely bound to her history. They inherited the same celestial legacy but developed opposing interpretations of justice, turning an extremely close childhood bond into a bitter ideological division. Mihira remains Kayle’s greatest example of what she believes she should become, and much of Kayle’s journey is driven by a desire to embrace her mother’s celestial purpose more completely. Kilam represented the human family Kayle ultimately left behind, and his death during her battle with Morgana became one of the events that pushed her further away from mortal attachment.
Kayle possesses immense celestial power inherited from the Aspect of Justice. Her Divine Ascent manifests through multiple pairs of flaming wings and increasingly powerful celestial energy as she embraces that heritage. She can fly at tremendous speed and surround herself in divine flame while channeling energy through her weapons. Radiant Blast summons a celestial blade of light that tears through several enemies in its path. Starfire Spellblade surrounds her sword with celestial fire, allowing Kayle to strike at range with burning arcs of energy or concentrate the flames into a devastating finishing blow. She can also invoke Celestial Blessing to restore injuries and empower herself or an ally with divine energy.
Her most formidable protective power is Divine Judgment. Kayle can surround herself or another person with celestial protection that temporarily prevents physical harm while a storm of burning swords descends upon nearby enemies. Her primary weapon is Virtue, the celestial sword inherited from Mihira. The weapon can be separated into paired blades and serves as the principal focus for Kayle’s divine fire. She is an accomplished swordswoman with centuries of experience fighting supernatural and mortal enemies alike, combining aerial mobility with ranged celestial attacks and precise close-range swordsmanship.

Divine fire cut through the night as Kayle descended into the street. The criminals below scattered away from overturned carts and abandoned weapons while golden light burned along the edge of her sword. She touched down among the wreckage and looked over the group without lowering the blade.
“You knew what you were doing.”
Flames gathered around her wings as she stepped forward. None of the surrounding alleys had been sealed, and the commotion had already begun drawing attention from beyond the street.
“Now you answer for it.”

Kayle entered a fortified manor after learning that its owner had been executing servants under private laws that existed nowhere beyond his estate. Written confessions had been produced for every death, but several carried identical handwriting. She spread the documents across a table and studied them beneath the light of Virtue.
“These were written before the accused ever saw them.”
She had already found a locked chamber beneath the manor. Dried blood covered sections of the floor and restraints had been fixed into the stone walls. Whatever authority the estate’s owner claimed, these deaths had not been lawful judgments. Kayle returned to the records above and set the false confessions beside one another. Virtue burned steadily in her hand.

Kayle had spent several nights alone near the upper slopes of Mount Targon, searching for traces of celestial power older than the settlements below. She found a small shrine buried beneath ice with an emblem resembling the one once carried by her mother. The doors opened when Virtue came near them, revealing a narrow passage descending into the mountain.
“You’ve been hidden a long time.”
The first chamber contained no treasure. Rows of stone tablets covered the walls in celestial script. Kayle translated several before reaching one addressed directly to the descendants of an Aspect. Its final line had been deliberately broken away.
A low pulse of golden light moved somewhere deeper within the shrine. Kayle looked toward the descending passage and tightened her grip on Virtue.
“Then I will find the rest.”
"No human is perfect. But I am not a human."
"Wings of Immortal Flame, lift me from mortal temptation!"
"I am the consequence of your actions."
"I shall purge this world of evil, and the fires of Justice shall vanquish the darkness!"
"Let me grow stronger, that I might vanquish the forces of darkness. Let me transcend mortal frailty."
"A thief, a murderer, and a corrupt guard, all walk into my sword. The end!"
