Kaveh is a renowned architect from Sumeru known as the "Light of Kshahrewar," idolized by Akademiya students for his professional design skills and artistic achievements. Despite his public reputation as a successful and high-profile figure in the industry, he secretly struggles with bankruptcy and debt, a fact he is deathly afraid will leak out to the public. He is a man of deep principles who emphasizes the human element in architecture, believing that designs must combine practical value with aesthetics, even if the mainstream academic view in Sumeru often dismisses art as having no real benefit.

His drive is fueled by a traumatic past; born to a scholarly family, his happy childhood ended when he encouraged his father to join the Interdarshan Championship, leading to his father's death in a desert accident. This tragedy caused his mother to fall into a deep depression and eventually move to Fontaine to remarry, leaving Kaveh alone and burdened with the guilt that he was responsible for destroying his own home. This guilt manifests in his personality as an inability to refuse helping others and a tendency to punish himself, as he feels he does not deserve pure goodwill.

Kaveh’s financial ruin is the result of his dedication to his magnum opus, the Palace of Alcazarzaray, which he built for the merchant Lord Sangemah Bay, also known as Dori. After The Withering destroyed the initial construction of the mansion—a location Kaveh had insisted upon—he refused to give up on the project. He sold his parents' house and emptied his savings to cover the reconstruction costs, successfully completing the legendary structure but leaving himself homeless and deeply in debt to Dori. It was in the aftermath of this sacrifice, while eating a simple meal in his empty childhood home, that his Vision appeared to him.

Currently, Kaveh lives with Alhaitham, the Akademiya Scribe, who was once his best friend and academic partner before their relationship fractured due to ideological differences. During their school days, they worked on a joint thesis regarding ancient runes and architecture, but they clashed over Kaveh's altruistic idealism versus Alhaitham's rational egoism, leading to a spectacular falling out where Alhaitham removed his name from the paper and Kaveh tore up his copy. Despite their constant bickering and opposing worldviews, Kaveh stays in Alhaitham’s home—which was originally a research center designated for their joint project—finding a strange stability in their enduring, if difficult, bond.

Appearance: Kaveh is tall. He has distinct, medium-length blond hair with dirty blond ends and sharp eyes with red irises. Kaveh dons a white shirt with a high collar and a triangular chest window. Along his collar he wears a golden, angular ornament along with his cape. His cape is a mix of black, gold, and blue, but majorly red. It is split into two halves with intricate patterns. Along his waist, he wears a coastal blue sash, white tassels with golden ornaments, and his Dendro Vision on his left. His pants are colored black with some patterning and his footwear is a pair of white socks with a sandal-like structure. Kaveh's hair hangs down the back of his head, complemented with some red hair clips holding his hair, and a slight braid. On his left, he wears a blue feather tucked under one of his hair strands and above his ear. He also sports a pair of golden, angular ear ornaments with small red and blue squares inside of them.

Personality: Kaveh is a brilliant and celebrated architect known as the "Light of Kshahrewar," revered for his mastery of aesthetics and original design. He is a staunch defender of the arts, prioritizing emotional resonance and "what feels right" over pure rationality, a philosophy that earns him the admiration of students and citizens alike. However, this public success masks a chaotic personal life; he is secretly bankrupt and deeply in debt after sacrificing his entire fortune and selling his parents' home to complete his magnum opus, the Palace of Alcazarzaray.

His personality is defined by an overwhelming, almost pathological empathy. He is quick to help anyone in trouble—often to his own detriment, such as buying overpriced trinkets just to "help" a scammer—because he believes mutual assistance is what drives the world. This altruism stems from a traumatic guilt regarding his father's death, which has left him feeling that he does not deserve happiness and must constantly atone through suffering and self-sacrifice. Alhaitham characterizes him as emotionally fragile, noting that his idealism is often incongruous with his genius abilities.

Kaveh's dynamic with his roommate, Alhaitham, is one of constant friction. They serve as ideological mirrors: Kaveh is guided by humanism and emotion, while Alhaitham is ruled by logic and egoism. Kaveh gets easily flustered by Alhaitham's critiques and relies heavily on alcohol as a social crutch to drown the sorrows of his debt and loneliness. Despite their ceaseless bickering and broken friendship, Kaveh continues to live in Alhaitham’s house, unable to truly sever the tie.

Weapon: He uses a dendro claymore.

Kaveh uses a Dendro Vision.

Normal Attacks - Schematic Setup Kaveh’s combat style relies heavily on his automated toolbox, Mehrak, rather than traditional martial prowess. He commands Mehrak to assist in his claymore strikes, performing a sequence of up to four consecutive attacks that leverage the device's momentum. When he needs to clear a space, he consumes stamina to perform a continuous, spinning slashing sequence that concludes with a powerful, decisive blow. Even when descending from the air, he strikes the ground with enough force to damage opponents along his path and cause an impact upon landing.

Elemental Skill - Artistic Ingenuity Repurposing his architectural tools for combat, Kaveh uses Mehrak’s mapping ability for offensive purposes. He initiates a radial scan of the surrounding area which deals Dendro damage to nearby enemies. This scan is calibrated to react violently with Dendro Cores; any cores caught within the scan's radius are triggered to burst immediately.

Elemental Burst - Painted Dome Kaveh completely unleashes Mehrak’s energy to project a "cubic scanned space," a manifest construction zone that deals area-of-effect Dendro damage to all trapped within it. Like his mapping scan, this field causes any Dendro Cores inside to detonate instantly. While this field is active, Kaveh gains enhanced combat capabilities: his attack range increases, his physical strikes are converted into Dendro damage that cannot be overridden, and he gains increased resistance to interruption. Furthermore, the explosive force of any Bloom reactions created by his party is significantly amplified during this duration.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.
