One of Ryoma's retainers, and a ninja of Hoshido. She was given the mission to participate in the Spring Festival, and she's fulfilling that duty.

Kagero hails from a noble Hoshidan family with a long tradition of serving the royal household. Though her older brother was initially meant to inherit the family's duty as a royal retainer, his illness rendered him unable to serve. In his place, Kagero stepped forward, determined to uphold their legacy. She first served as Queen Mikoto's retainer before being reassigned to Crown Prince Ryoma, a role she has honored with unwavering loyalty ever since.

Kagero's devotion to Ryoma is absolute—she is willing to sacrifice her life without hesitation to ensure his safety. While deeply dedicated to her duties, she maintains a balanced view of service. In contrast to her fellow retainer Saizo, who demands total self-sacrifice from others, Kagero cautions against instilling such extreme ideals in new recruits, advocating for strength without unnecessary fatalism. Though she and Saizo once shared a romantic relationship, they ultimately chose to end it in favor of fulfilling their responsibilities.

Known for her calm and composed demeanor, Kagero handles even difficult situations with steady poise. She is tactful in speech, carefully measured in her responses, and emotionally self-controlled—qualities that serve her well as a high-ranking ninja and protector. Her interactions with Takumi, for example, showcase her ability to deliver candid advice without offense, reflecting her quiet confidence and perceptiveness.

Beneath her stoic exterior lies a thoughtful and creative individual. Kagero enjoys painting in her spare time, though her work is often abstract, eerie, or unsettling to others. Despite her unconventional style, she remains proud of her art and finds joy in it. Her passion for painting is closely tied to her long-standing friendship with Orochi, who genuinely appreciates her artistic expression. Other characters, such as Odin, are inspired by her work, while Hinata—though initially unnerved—admits to finding it oddly appealing.

Though reserved, Kagero forms sincere connections with those around her, revealing a warm and receptive side to her personality.

Kagero is said to be the best diary-keeper in the army.

Appearance: Kagero has light tan skin and long, rich brown hair that flows down her back, tied near the end with a gold band and a small purple flower ornament. Her bangs sweep over her right eye, with a few loose strands framing the side of her face, while her visible eye is a soft amber-brown. Atop her head, she wears a pair of tall white bunny ears lined with pale pink on the inside, fastened by a decorated hairband that features purple and red flowers along one side. Her outfit is a sleek, form-fitting bodysuit of black material that accentuates her curves and exposes a deep neckline bordered with gold. Over the bodysuit, she wears a layered red and gold belt corset tied at the waist with intricate wrappings and tassels that hang on either side of her hips. The upper part of her outfit includes a short, white cape-like collar that extends outward over her shoulders, trimmed in gold and attached at the front with small red beads and a gold neck clasp. A pair of small, pointed golden plates extend upward from the sides of her back, each tied with white cords. Her arms are covered by black gloves that extend just past the elbows, accented with angular gold trim and fitted cuffs. Her hips are flanked by two long, petal-shaped fabric pieces in muted red that hang down symmetrically, adding contrast to the darker tones of her bodysuit. Her legs are sheathed in semi-transparent black tights that highlight their shape down to her ankles, where they meet a pair of gold and brown open-toed sandals. Each sandal is fastened with crisscrossing straps and adorned with small red gems at the center.

Kagero uses a large carrots throwing daggers.

She is a flying unit and rides on a pegasus. She is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

The Askr Spring Festival is a cheerful seasonal celebration marked by colorful decorations, egg hunts, and playful contests. Participants wear festive outfits, often with bunny motifs and pastel colors, and take part in games and mock battles using themed weapons like decorated eggs and flower-tipped magic. The festival emphasizes joy, renewal, and togetherness, offering a rare moment of peace and lightheartedness where warriors can relax, laugh, and enjoy the arrival of spring.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.
