Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, is a super-genius inventor from Chicago who built her own advanced suit of armor to carry on Iron Man's legacy. Certified as a genius at age five, her incredible intellect led to social isolation, and she retreated into her work. Tragedy struck at thirteen when her best friend Natalie and her stepfather were killed in a drive-by shooting, a trauma that fueled her drive to protect others. While studying at MIT on a scholarship at age fifteen, she reverse-engineered Tony Stark's technology to build her first suit from stolen campus materials. Her initial heroic exploits caught Stark's attention, and he endorsed her as a superhero, eventually mentoring her via an A.I. duplicate of himself after he fell into a coma during the second Civil War.

As Ironheart, Riri has become a pivotal figure in the young superhero community. She joined the Champions, fighting alongside heroes like Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, and Viv Vision, with whom she shares a complicated, unresolved romantic history. Her adventures have taken her from ruling (and liberating) Latveria to battling Thanos in space, and even journeying into a fantasy RPG reality as "Lady Ironheart." She developed her own advanced A.I., N.A.T.A.L.I.E., based on the memories of her deceased best friend, to assist her in the field. Riri's quest for knowledge and power also led her to uncover the mystical "Wellspring of Power" in Wakanda, where she discovered her biological father was a leader within the Ten Rings organization. Her heroism earned her the Circlet of Bast, Wakanda's highest honor, and a standing invitation to the nation, where she later assisted in their space program.

Riri's journey has been marked by conflicts between her civilian life and her heroics, particularly during the "Outlawed" event where teenage vigilantism was banned. Unlike her teammates with secret identities, Riri's public persona put her family at legal risk, causing tension with the Champions until she ultimately sided with them against the oppressive C.R.A.D.L.E. forces. Recently, she came into possession of the Mandarin's Makluan Rings, struggling with their corrupting influence while using them to dismantle black market arms dealers. Recognizing the danger they posed to her psyche, she eventually dispersed the rings across the galaxy with the help of the mutant inventor Forge. Currently, she continues to innovate, assisting Tony Stark in purging magical viruses from his armor and defending her hometown of Chicago from high-tech threats.

Appearance: Riri has brown skin. Her short black hair is styled with a mass of tight curls on top, while the sides are shaved close to the scalp. Her eyes are dark brown. She wears a white v-neck t-shirt layered under a black jacket with a red interior lining and hood. Her legs are covered by fitted black trousers. Red high-top sneakers with white laces and soles cover her feet.

Riri's armor conceals the her completely. The helmet features a smooth gold faceplate with glowing white slit eyes, while the top and sides of the head are encased in black and magenta plating. A segmented dark grey neck piece connects the helmet to the upper body. A glowing white heart-shaped emblem sits in the center of the black chest panel, framed by a light blue outline. Magenta armor plates cover the shoulders and extend down the sides of the torso, accented by thick gold trim that follows the contours of the plating. The midsection consists of a flexible dark grey material. The arms display magenta plating on the upper arms and forearms, separated by dark grey elbow joints. Gold lines trace the length of the arm panels, ending at black armored hands with glowing blue repulsors in the palms. The hips are protected by magenta plating with gold edges. The thighs feature large magenta panels with curving gold designs and black inner sections. Dark grey mechanical components cover the knees. The lower legs are encased in magenta greaves decorated with swirling gold patterns that taper toward the ankles. The feet are covered in black boots with gold soles.

Personality: Riri Williams is a fiercely intelligent, introverted prodigy who operates with a chip on her shoulder and a soldering iron in her hand. She possesses a razor-sharp, analytical mind that processes information faster than most people can speak, which often leads to her appearing impatient, blunt, or socially awkward. Unlike her mentor Tony Stark, who thrived on charisma and public adulation, Riri prefers the solitude of her lab, finding more comfort in code and schematics than in messy human emotions. She is driven by a relentless need to prove herself, fueled by a history of being underestimated by adults and teachers who couldn't comprehend her potential.

Beneath her hardened, sarcastic exterior lies a young woman deeply shaped by tragedy. The loss of her father, stepfather, and best friend Natalie has made her protective and pragmatic, viewing her armor not just as a tool for justice, but as a literal shell to keep the world at bay. This trauma manifests in her reliance on her AI, N.A.T.A.L.I.E.—a digital recreation of her deceased best friend—showing that despite her solitary nature, she desperately craves connection. Her social skills can be clumsy, as seen in her complicated, unresolved dynamic with Viv Vision, where she struggles to navigate feelings she can't logically quantify.

As a hero, she is bold, innovative, and unwilling to compromise. She respects legacy but refuses to be defined by it, blending Stark-level tech with Wakandan magic and her own unique designs. She has a dry, biting wit and a low tolerance for incompetence, often acting as the skeptical voice of reason among her peers in the Champions. She is a realist who understands the systemic issues of the world—like gun violence and institutional bias—and attacks them with the same engineering precision she uses to build her repulsors.

Riri Williams is a certified super-genius, a classification she received at just five years old, which paved the way for her acceptance into M.I.T. at the age of fifteen. She is a prodigious inventor and engineer, possessing the rare ability to visualize complex mechanics and reverse-engineer advanced technology from scratch. Despite having limited resources compared to Tony Stark, she successfully built her own version of the Iron Man armor using scavenged materials, proving her intellect rivals the greatest minds in the Marvel Universe.

Her equipment has evolved significantly since her debut. Her initial suit was a crude prototype that, while capable of flight and stopping a speeding truck, lacked structural integrity and fractured upon impact. She later upgraded to a sleeker, cutting-edge model, but after it was disintegrated by Thanos, she constructed the Ironheart Armor Model 3. This current iteration is lighter, faster, and more aerodynamic than its predecessors. It features a compact deployment system, stored in a specialized bracer on her wrist that assembles around her body in seconds, and includes a dynamic faceplate that can shift between solid and transparent for better visibility.

The Model 3 is a powerhouse of offensive and defensive technology, supported by an on-board artificial intelligence that handles tactical analysis. The suit is armed with standard repulsor beams in the palms and a powerful unibeam in the chest, along with an array of micro-impact precision missiles (M.I.P.s) launching from the forearms. For situations requiring non-lethal force, Riri has equipped the armor with flashbangs and ultrasonic emitters, giving her versatile options for crowd control and containment.
