This dark mage of Plegia will curse you without a second thought if you withhold candy.

Born in Plegia, Henry was discarded by his parents at an early age, sent away under the guise of education to an elite magical institution. In truth, it was abandonment—his caretakers showed no affection, only discipline. The school, far from a sanctuary, subjected its pupils to cruel treatment and harsh punishments. When Henry once set himself ablaze during magical practice, no one intervened. With time, pain became a dull echo to him—barely registering at all.

In the absence of warmth from people, Henry found companionship in animals. Birds, beasts, and strays gravitated to him, seemingly drawn to his presence. Among them, a wolf pup became his closest friend. But when the creature attempted to follow Henry to the village, the locals slaughtered it out of fear. Henry found its body surrounded by the ones responsible—and in that moment, something inside him broke. His grief turned to bloodlust, and he exacted merciless vengeance on the villagers, leaving none alive.

What emerged from that horror was a boy twisted by suffering but tempered by power. Henry grew into one of Plegia’s most feared Dark Mages, veiled in mystery and always accompanied by a murder of crows. His prowess earned him respect—even from the likes of Tharja—though few knew the full extent of his identity or origins.

Despite his grim past, Henry forged a bond with the Plegian general Mustafa and his family. Welcomed into their home, he was often greeted with gifts of fruit and words of belonging. Mustafa, seeing in Henry a lost son, asked him to consider himself part of the family. Yet Henry, though fond of them, kept emotional distance. Even among allies like Campari and Vasto, true attachment eluded him.

Henry’s cheerfulness is deceptive. Behind his ever-present grin lies a dark humor and an unsettling comfort with death. He revels in war’s chaos and delights in the macabre, often cracking puns mid-battle or laughing at things most would find grim. His fearlessness borders on recklessness—he doesn’t just accept death, he welcomes it.

At first, Henry lacks concern for morality, willing to use any method—even sacrificing innocents—to end conflict. Yet through his interactions with allies like Robin, he begins to reconsider. While he still disobeys orders he deems foolish, he shows the capacity to change, especially when treated with trust or kindness.

Despite his warped sense of humor, Henry is not heartless. He displays unexpected moments of empathy: comforting comrades in his own odd way, expressing loyalty in his support with Ricken, and showing genuine concern for Panne and Nowi—fellow outcasts with their own fears of loss. In time, should he find love, Henry proves to be a caring husband and doting father, surprising all who once dismissed him as a mere madman.

Henry has the lowest heart rate out of all the people in the army.

Appearance: Henry has pale skin, silver-white hair, and narrow eyes often shown closed in a cheerful expression. He wears a high-collared purple vest over a cream shirt with puffy sleeves, fastened with a large red ribbon at the neck. A long, deep red cape with a jagged, tattered hem and gold trim drapes over his shoulders, secured by ornate clasps. Dark trousers and pointed shoes complete his attire, with a decorated sash tied around his waist featuring gold embroidery. He carries a large black coffin strapped to his back and balances a black raven perched on his arm.

Henry uses a tome to fight with magic. It is called the Spectral Tome.

He is an armored unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.

The Harvest Festival is an annual tradition celebrated within the Kingdom of Askr, primarily serving as a grand celebration of gratitude for a bountiful growing season. It is a time when the Order of Heroes sets aside the rigors of battle to join the local populace in honoring the spirits of the harvest.
